    Just curious...
My local casino in Reno has great craps rules
(Buy 4/5/9/10 for $30 and pay $1 vig on the win only)
I'd like to find a property on the strip that will at least get CLOSE to that...
    Anyone know where?
$25 Buy's for $1 vig (win only) would work...
optimally I'd like to be able to buy 5/9 for $24:$1 ($30 would be better!)

To the best of my knowlege (which isn't saying much) all of the Strip casinos get the vig up front on their buy bets.

All of them will let you buy $25.00 for $1.00.

For vig on win only, you're going to have to go "off strip."

Here's a pretty good site with craps conditions for all of the Las Vegas casinos. Hope it helps:

Checked out the nextshooter.com site - looks like it hasn't been updated in a while. I doubt conditions at the Sahara and Bill's are what they claim. :ssst:

Too bad, because we need an up-to-date site like that.

    Current norms on the Strip:

Vig paid on win on 4/10. Up to $35 for $1.
    Vig paid before on 5/9.

    Vig on the win

Most casinos have the vig on the win only, and if the chips are a dollar they have to round down by gaming commission rules.

Craps is pretty much craps in Las Vegas.

Casino Royale has the 100X odds but the hard ways pay for one instead of to one. That's the trade off.

Kind of cheats the Dealers too if you're making a two way bet for two bucks on a hard pair.

I think the Wizard went into detail on the Vig and casino odds on his old site. Wizard of odds.

Standard Strip Craps rules on Buy Bets is: Buy 4/10: juice only on a win; on $25 the juice is $1. Not sure if the juice on Buy 5/9 is charged on a win only or on all bets, but either way all Buy bets are still poor bets versus Line and Max Odds.

Look at the House PC on Buy Bets. If you are trying to minimize the House PCs on a Buy 4/10 and bet $25 for a $1 juice on a win, overall you are bucking a 1.33% edge. On a Buy 5/9, even if the casino let you Buy the 5/9 for $24 for $1 juice only on a win, the House PC would be 1.67%.

If you are looking to minimize the House PC, you are FAR better off to bet Pass Line and/or Come Line with Strip 3x4x5x Odds, which carry a House PC of 0.37%.

Based upon your posts on another thread, if you are looking to maximize comps for your Craps play, go ahead and focus your bets on Buy 4/5/9/10. You will earn around 4x - 5x more comps than a Line + Max Odds player. For even more love from the casino, bet the junk in the middle of the table.

Yup, and $30 buy bets for $1 vig are even better...
Specially when I get 25% of my average in comps per hour...
