I went downtown for the MSS slot tourney and stopped in at the 777 Brew Pub and found the service to be great and the staff to be very accomodating.
The food is quite good too.

I and some friends kind of wandered in there late one Saturday evening back in April. We found the food to be surprisingly good and reasonable in price.

The servers are always very nice there and the food is good, try the blackend salmon next time...really good, but get the mango chutney sauce on the side, you dont want it on your rice.

They also have a great late night menu starting at midnight! $2 beer and wine, food specials. Then at 2 AM they add in the breakfast specials until 7 AM.

They become ala carte on the 2 AM menu, but it is hard to beat a Denver omelet for $5.99, or 2 eggs for $3.99 and a buck more for a sausage side.

They close at 7 and reopen at 11 AM.

Joe recommended the Filet Mignon sandwich and I've gotten three times and it's outstanding. Highly recommended.

I used to like that place a lot. I used to recommend it to everyone. 3 years ago went there. Got seated and 15 minutes later got service. 2 years ago, got seated and 20 minutes later got service. This time we had 2, the table next to us had 4. They had their check before we had our food and they got there ten minutes after us. On that trip we also weren't checked on one time. Not even with an empty beer glass sitting there. Last month, got seated and it took 15 minutes to get service. 3 strikes.

OK, I don't know if it is because every waitress in the place knows us and we get some kind of preferred service, but we have never waited for a server more than 2-3 minutes.

Believe me, dining there more than 60-70 times is not an exaggeration. YMMV.

Now overnight is a different story. 2 AM and there is only one server, the bartender and cook. Funny aside, at least to us, the current server is the daughter of the previous overnight server and she was sloooooooow. Hasn't really improved much at 5 AM before we catch an early flight.

Every time it was around 5:30 p.m. We used to like it so much that we went downtown just to go there. I am sure once we cross off all the other places we passed up we will give it another shot.

The food is still amazing and the brews are award winning. The service varies some times from great to poor. We've been regulars for 6 years and have noticed this trend over the last year. Our most recent trip we stayed at MSS a week. We ate at triple 7 twice, once was phenomenal and the other was just terrible. What I've noticed is two of the late night servers are rude and inattentive. She only came by to take our order, delivered it and dropped off the bill, never gave us refills or asked if we needed anything. It was dead when this happened too, inexcusable.

Not wanting to initiate a "who has the best wings debate" but I do like 777's. Plus, how can you go wrong with $2.50 microbrews during happy hour.

The 777 is a must on every trip. Must have a few high roller beers (hint: Bring the first one in with you from the bar... cheaper) Food is great!

I like the bartenders at the California. Dave's Bar upstairs when open or the bar on the first floor south east corner past the craps table seem to be the best. 2 dollar stella's 24/7 and fast and friendly service.

To be honest, this has happened to us more than enough times, too, including our last trip.

We almost walked out, but had a $70 comp. I made the comment that they seem to be cutting costs by having fewer servers. I mean, they were running around. It wasn't like they were standing shooting the breeze. The thing is, that doesn't mean much to a customer. Our wait was about 10 minutes to get drinks, and another 10 to get our order taken.
