How expensive and quality are LVAC and Anytime Fitness?
I'm interested in this too.
I need a squat rack or power cage to get my squats & lunges in. Smith machines just don't cut it so most hotel gyms are poor in this regard.
Also check out 24 hour fitness. They all have pros and cons, depends on your personal preference
The Las Vegas Athletic Club that I went to is pretty nice. I payed around $30 a month.
I ended up using the Wand Fight team gym on Dean Martin. Took me 18 minutes to walk there from the Mandarin. All I was interested in was using weights (a barbell and rack to be precise) so it suited me perfectly. My CV was done in the hotel. No Air Con though so it was a bit hot!
$25 for a month of gym access.
before joining a formal gym, please check within the HOA, if they don't offer a gym facility they may offer discounts to a formal gym.
My wife loved the facilities at LVAC. She went to the one on Rainbow & Lake Mead. A bartender friend uses the one on South Maryland and also likes it a lot.
Both are open 24/7.
For us, it's been 2 years since we lived there, but we talked to our bartender friend in June. He still uses it 5x per week and still thinks it's great.
Recommendations like this are the same as pizza, movies & restaurants. Everyone has a differing opinion.
Gotta throw my hat in for Lifetime Fitness, they only have the one location in Summerlin but its a pretty fantastic setup
I don't know their monthly fee as I used the facility for free
If your a player at a certain tier level ( insert casino here ) I suspect you'll have free daily access. I don't know if it's still true but it used to be if you were diamond at a Harrah's owned, it was free.
Don't know a bartender named Larry.
Next to Extreme Couture Wanderleis place is the best gym in LV for serious work, BTW the Tapout gym is only 2 miles South of Mandalay Bay and another great choice.
