I am going to book a Southwest vacation package for my first time at Bellagio (4th time in Vegas). What is the minimum level room I can get with a lake view? The room descriptions on Bellagio's website don't seem to mention the views, but Southwest gives, for example, a choice between Resort Deluxe, Partial Lakeview, and Resort Deluxe Lakeview. The differences are adds to the Deluxe room of $175, $285, and almost $400 respectively. Since it is not economical in this case to book through the hotel (because of airfare package discounts), I want to make sure I'm not paying extra for something I don't need. Can I book a Resort Deluxe room and then call the hotel to request a view?

partial lakeview is going to be in the spa tower where you can only see half the lake. your best bet for getting an upgrade to a view would probably be to ask the person at check-in possibly with a $20 bill.

You can try. They MIGHT allow you to pay the difference. They may charge you more than you want. They may say they are sold out and you can not get a lakeview at ANY price. After all, there are only so many rooms with a lakeview. In the main building, with 3 wings, approx one out of 6 have a lakeview. You do the math.

    I'd make it a $50 for Bellagio.

But if none are available, even $100 is not gonna work.
