I went looking for a quiet place to have a conf. call the other day, and I ended up in the meeting room area. I happened to notice that a lot of the pictures on the wall were scratched up, and the chairs were in even worse shape. Steve Wynn would have never tolerated that while he owned the B, and you can tell it does not have his personal touch anymore. :(

I've been talking about the B going severely downhill for a few years now.

It's at the point now that I refuse to even play there anymore.

That's highly unfortunate. Bellagio has been driving me crazy for a few years now; not only is it not as nice as it thinks it is anymore, but, although this is a weird thing to say about a Vegas resort, it's also too touristy. The crowds just wandering through the place are insane. I've stayed there a couple times, and it was perfectly nice, but the thoroughfare traffic is nuts, and it's the main reason why I've never consolidated my play there and focus most of my time on Mandalay Bay and Aria.

It's sad how everything that every former Wynn property that MGM Mirage touches has declined, but that's what happens when quality is not one of your priorities.

I completely agree with this! We thoroughly enjoyed our first ever stay at Bellagio last summer, but the foot traffic is incredible.

The worse Bellagio looks, the better Aria looks. They want Aria to be seen as the flagship since they built it despite that Bellagio has the better location and the four of the most popular tourist attractions on the strip.

But the best hotel for people watching because it is so touristy. Grab a drink at Petrossian Bar(yes, expensive) and enjoy the show. . Popcorn, sesame crackers, and spicy nuts are good.
Are they really rich or is it Las Vegas?:confused2:

You still will need to wait a while, because while MGM Resorts International may upkeep Bellagio like a second-tier property, they still price it like a first-tier one. Lowest prices I see online are $151.

Amen to that. I've been staying there since it opened in 1998 and I've noticed a ton of changes. Steve was the the first 2 years we went. Used to see him waling around all the time keeping an eye on everything and everybody. He even said hello to us in the casino a couple of times.

I had a 2 bedroom penthouse at the Mirage and some friends were staying in a regular room in the Bellagio. They thought they were so much better staying there. I had to remind them they only had a regular room. :rolleyes2: I'll take Wynn or Venetian any day over Bellagio.
