Hello all, new to the forum and its great!!! Anyways, just booked bellagio comped from may 31- june 4. Mirage wanted to charge me every nite avg 230 a night and aria gave me 3 nights comp and last night casino rate. I am sticking with bellagio since it is my favorite hotel but why is it not all comp on where i want to stay? A little about myself, i am a table player, bj or baccarat and avg 200-500 a hand and go up to 5,000 a hand if i am winning. Last trip which was superbowl weekend, my friend booked 2 rooms at aria aand i added my play to his rooms to help. I got my avg from a host at aria, 12 hrs at $300 per hand at bj. Did this hurt my comps since i added my play to his rooms? Also, my friend avg's the same as me at bj and he is thinking at coming out with me. If we both put our play together (avg 600-800 per hand) what would be the chances of us getting a 2 bedroom suite? The host at aria just sounded full of himself to me. Sorry for all of the questions and thnx for the help!!!

no, you will not get a 2BR suite at Bellagio with that level of play even combined. you will need twice that.

    Dear Broncofn:

It is hard for people here to help, since you post all runs together.

Not sure what your question is. Maybe some others will offer better advice than me.

Thnx shifter. Just wondering why bellagio is a full room comp, aria is only 3 nights and mirage wants me to pay a casino rate. I thought i would be able to get more for my play at mirage but apparently not.

guess it just depends on who you talk to and what they are willing to do. it also depends on what's already in the system from corporate or from the hotel.

I've had the same problem. Aria, Bellagio will give me RFB and 2 bedroom suite.

Mirage will only give me a room comp. This is the reason I've never stayed at Mirage. I even spoke to the person in charge of marketing at Mirage and he told me they couldn't match the offer from Bellagio or Aria and I should take those offers.

It left me wondering if MGM/Mirage wants to steer certain clients to specific properties.

At the end of the day Shifter is correct. It just depends on what host you speak to, and what they are willing to do for you. It's amazing the vastly different offers I've gotten at the very same property just from speaking to different hosts. Example: At a nameless MGM prop one host was willing to comp me a suite and evaluate F&B at the end of stay, no FP. I emailed another host that a VMBer recommended at the same property and I got a 2 bedroom suite, 2 regular rooms, RFB, and $1000 FP! If a host gives you an offer you don't like, talk to a different host and see what they can do.

Thanx for the help guys. I spoke with another host at aria and he basically gave me the same deal as casino marketing but told me I need to cancel my reservation at bellagio in order to put my reservation in. I have booked at bellagio for 4 nites for a fully comped room.

In ac, I average the same and basically get all rfb comped (at borgata) should I expect the same at bellagio?

Also, when I put my confirmation number in on bellagio's website, my reservation doesn't come up. It doesn't come up on mlifes website either. I made my reservation thru VIP services at bellagio. Anyone know why my confirmation doesn't show on either site?

    Thnx!

Natural eight, the host at aria also told me he can't match bellagio"s offer. Maybe because I have shown more action at bellagio in years past?

Curious on borgata. Do you get RFB by virtue of using comp dollars first or will they comp you your stuff and leave the comp dollars?

I get my room/suite comped up front and talk to a host when getting ready to chek out. They do not use my comp dollars in which I will use in the Hugo boss store even though it is 2/1 in comp dollars. Believe it or not, I love their comp system.

Btw, I've gone thru 4 different hosts there since a lot of them come and go. Even long time hosts that I've had at different properties came there and left. With their system, I see no reason for a host. It can all be done online.

How many comp dollars do you earn on an average trip? I need a host for limo from NYC since I don't have a car...

I earn around 1,000-2,000 comp dollars from fri-sun nite. This is playing Bj or baccarat in high limit room. But if you need a limo from NYC, let me know. I have a friend that has a limo service there.

If you don't have a car, why don't you take the ace train?

Not usually convenient times and they don't do it anymore :). I get the limo comped with my comp dollars.... I'm also in the 1000-2000 range with blackjack in high limit and craps.

IMO since you are so close, just hire a limo service to drive you from NYC. From dc, it's like pulling teeth to have a limo even though I have been on private planes to ac (not personal private planes). Save the comp dollars for the shopping and bars/gourmet restaurants. Your play will pick up spa, non gourmet restaurants etc. just use your comp dollars wisely. Again, if you need a limo service, let me know. But it is a stretch SUV from NYC.

Can't imagine that costs less than 400 each way and I'd rather use comp dollars 1:1 for it. I usually leave with no comp dollars , a little wine from the wine store and only paying for my tips after dinner at the nice restaurants, massages, pool lunches, etc.

As for your original question what type of line or front money do you do? My host at aria is pretty great. I get a suite, show tix, limo from airport and a lot of food picked up for that level of play (assuming you do that in two nights at borgata). I do get corporate offers with RFB though and I'm sure he uses those. Do you get corporate offers?
