The restaurant is well worth a visit imho, the BBQ is supposed to be great although I've never had it.

Todd English's 'Olives' at B is always a good lunch choice.
If you just want to cross something off your bucket list, then try Ellis Island; otherwise, skip it (IMO).

Headed to mirage for dinner and paused by craps table to win 200 after a guy hit a couple of points. I should have made more in only bet 10 on the pass and 30 odds and nothing else. He hit 4 and ten which paid nicely. He hit the all tall and was one away from all small. It was pretty funny as his wife was trying to brag Jim away and she actually clapped when he rolled the seven.

We are in Portovino and bought of us loves it. We shared meatballs and calamari for starters. The meetballs where the best I think I have ever tasted. The Calimari was great too. Mrs M had the rack lamb and I hit a pasta lobster dish bought excellent. They also had our favourite American wine a cab sav from "Justin"- cheapest bottle $64. It was amazing. E were both shattered from the travelling so didn't stay out and went robbed for 9 to try and get some sleep it is now 4am so I will get up now and start some gambling

I hope you're trip is going well. B is my 2nd favorite hotel/casino in Vegas right after Wynn/Encore. I'd stay there again someday but my wife insists on Encore and I have to agree. Interesting, we had a similar experience at Bartolotta's a few years back only it started out so poorly that we (really my idea as my wife was too embarrassed but she did go too) walked out before we got stuck with a huge bill for a horrible experience. I'm not a rude person but I don't put up with a lot of bullshit either. I guess there's a good reason it's closed and another in it's place.

Dublin is a long way to come to go to Vegas but I don't blame you, I love Vegas like you do. We met some people our last trip a few weeks ago from the UK and my wife and I started talking about "would we still come to Vegas if we had to do a long flight like that?" She didn't think so and I said hell yes!!

I've had some very expensive Guinness at that bar

 

If he wants to play VP he's covered. They have full pay machines near the player's club that range from 5c to $5 a credit. And kitchen tile is better than the old concrete floor, imo.

We had the BBQ earlier this month for the first time. We were kicking ourselves for not trying it sooner.

Ugh. I'd consider Bonus over JoB there. Strategy is nearly the same and Bonus has a better overall payback there.

As for the pics, I think you may need 20 posts to attach pictures. If so, you're close. Can you confirm @SH0CK ?

Long flights to Vegas is really rough with all of the pent up anticipation! The 5 1/2 hr. flight from Hawaii is the only thing I don't like about going to Vegas.

But it is necessary so therefore I endure it. I do envy those who are within driving range of Mecca.

 

Agree.Lunch at Milos. Someone above mentioned Olives at B. DEFINITELY. Flexible with the menu, as if you want this pasta but also want the other pasta, they'll split so you can have both.

 

Oh Man, I feel his pain. After a while my wife will come back to the table and hover or mill around. I'll ask are u winning "no". are u out of money "no". are u hungry "no" are u having fun "no" = She's ready to go.
