    My Trip Report

Traveling to Vegas for a conference that runs Sunday afternoon to Wednesday and then staying a couple of extra days. I was originally going to switch to the Mirage after the conference but the Bellagio was only $30 more total so cancelled mirage to stay at bellagio

I have pretty much given up on MyVegas but had some LPs to burn so using:

    $10 free play
    Mirage lunch buffet
    Aria lunch buffet

Will be posting lots of pictures. Philly security as usual sucks as depicted by the picture

I have a car cause I like going off strip for meals and such. Getting in early so going to head to John mulls for some BBQ before checking in.

Supposed to land at 10:37, we boarded a little early so hoping for an on time arrival. I was able to get everything in my carry on or backpack so didn't have to check any bags. I hate waiting in Vegas for bags but coming home, philly is the worse for how long it takes to get your bag. Flight is full so will end up with seat mates.

I recently shaved my goatee to see what it would look like, since it's been 12+ years. Not good, wife and son don't like so will be growing it back. I still can't get used to seeing me like that.

Where are you staying? What are your plans for the week? I'm coming into Vegas from Philly for a 2 week trip at the end of April. Like you, I always have a car because I like cruising around the city. Rarely have a meal or gamble much on the Strip. I do stay there for some of my trips courtesy of CZR. Can't wait.

Good choice staying at Bellagio for $30 more, IMO.

    Have a great trip!

If you don't mind, could you post some pics of the room? Haven't seen any from Bellagio in a while.

Love to see some room pictures and what room type you are staying in. My wife is swaying towards the Bellagio or Caesars right now for our next trip.

Just landed. Arrived a few minutes early. The flight was uneventful and pretty smooth. Watched "The Big Game" and "TED 2". I wouldn't recommend either unless you are stuck on an airplane.

Getting a rental from national, went with economy instead of aisle cause $40 less. They have some new virtual exit they sent an email about asking if I wanted to try it, so I will see what that is.

I will definitely get pics of the room and post.

My not sure if it's sad but I don't need a gps anymore to the places I go in Vegas

John Mull for BBQ. I usually get the 3 meat combo but it is always too much food. So I went with 2 meat; brisket and hot links with sides of beans and slaw, corn bread

The guy serving gave me ribs at first by mistake so he left them on the plate and I ended up with 3 meats anyway

That food looks good. Might have to try it next time. Have you ever tried the Rolling Smoke BBQ? If so, which do you think is better?

Rolling smoke is my other favorite in Vegas. I have to give the edge to rolling smoke. Their brisket is better and they serve their pulled pork plain and you can put your own sauce on. Overall Rollin smoke, but love John mulls sides and hot links

Checked in to bellagio around 1pm or so. Checkin line had about 15 people in it, not too bad but I used the gold/platinum checkin which had 1 person in it.

I had two reservations, one through the conference and the other through MLIFE. The checkin agent was good. He added my MLIFE number to the conference reservation and linked the two so I can stay in the same room and not have to do anything. He asked if I wanted resort or main tower, I didn't care so told him whichever room is better in his opinion, tower didn't matter.

I got the main tower 8th floor. The west wing with the room facing south. As for the type of room, I assume the conference reservation was a basic room and my reservation was a deluxe run of house (basic).
The room is fine with me, plenty of space, large bathroom. Everything seems to be in good condition. The phone and drapery controls feel dated but everything else is good.

There is a snack mini "bar" and a fridge mini bar, no room for your own stuff. There is no coffee maker (I see people asking about that a lot)

Here's a bunch of pics of the room

Going to play a 3pm poker tournament at Ballys. Bazaar shops busier than last September but still not really popular. They opened the escalator to Ballys since last time but I still prefer to go around and through valet to get right to the casino.

Probably safe to say they were here for Chinese New Year
