Is there any way, short of traveling with a laptop outside Southern Nevada, to redeem rewards in the same fashion tourists do?

The only decent reward that locals can redeem is Fuel The Duel, and that's always sold out.

    Thanks in advance.

I doubt even that would work. Once their system has pegged you as a local, it doesn't matter where you login at. EVen non-locals have been caught in that net by logging into the game while in Vegas. MyVegas support can correct that, but I would guess they look at old connections to verify that.

They look at your ID too and have now added the "this reward is for players that reside outside of Las Vegas". People have been turned away recently when presenting their Nevada ID.

However, the Fuel the Duel (and all other rewards) reload at 7am PST so you can still try for it. Just make take a try or two. :)

Thanks for the replies. Clearly people have tried many methods to get around it and they've shut it down.

At least now I know not to waste my time trying also.

    Thanks once again.

Yeah, a friend of min who is local has pretty much tried everything he can think of, but unless you want to use a fake ID to create a false MLife account, it's not going to work.

It's just not worth the effort or the risk.
