For the women who drink beer at the bar - If you get bottled beer, do you drink out of the bottle or a glass?

I'm not usually a beer drinker but when in the casino, because I'm drinking for a longer period of time and wine would get me too drunk, I often drink light beer. I usually drink out of the bottle.

The other time I'll drink beer is to have one when I'm out to lunch. The other day I was having a beer with my lunch at a fairly nice restaurant (PF Chang). The people I was with were drinking iced tea. I felt uncomfortable drinking out of the bottle in that setting and went out of my way to get a glass (server didn't offer).

Now I'm thinking - should I be drinking out of a glass at the casino bar?
I just never thought about it. It's a more casual setting and I really don't know anyone there.
    So, ladies, bottle or glass?

I almost always drink beer the way it's delivered, which for me is normally from a bottle when at the tables. It's 50-50 at the bars, while microbrews (MSS) come in plastic cups in the casino or real glasses at the bar. Ellis Island serves its microbrews in real glasses. At home, I drink it from the bottle (with koozie) or a chilled mug.

This is another of my pet peeves, beer should be served with a glass, and the only time I let the server slide is at the tables or slots. No excuse for a server at a sit down restaurant or a bar to bring over a bottle of beer without a glass, even if its Bud or Coors Light. It should always be offered, let the customer decide.

LOL you stole my response. It is so hard to get an orange into a blue moon bottle. Damn near impossible sometimes. So I'm out of the bottle unless it's blue moon.

Went to a local Mexican restaurant last night, they served the bottle of Blue Moon with an wedge of orange as if it were a lime in a Corona. Had to ask for a glass!

Could you imagine a Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA out of the bottle, no glass?

depends on the beer. Mexican beers I like out of the bottle with lime. most other beers I like out of a glass. I like the better beers out of the glass/chalice that is designed by the company to enhance the flavor.

I will never understand it. They give you this giant orange peel and want you to squeeze it in that bottle. You basically have not other choice but to have a glass.

I drink beer from a glass but if I'm playing poker I'm fine with the bottle.

    Dive bar - bottle

    Nice bar - glass

    Bartop VP bar - either

Restaurant - glass... They should bring you a glass automatically. Many consider it poor form to drink from a bottle in a restaurant. Unless you are a baby. LOL

    Casino - bottle

I am sure that doesn't help, but that is what I do! :)

If I'm at the machines will drink out of a bottle, if at a bar then it's out of a glass, and my one annoyance is when they serve it in a plastic glass :grrr:

BOTTLE, why would I want one of those dirty glasses?

Perhaps they are clean in Vegas, but how do I know?

I drink it the same at home or in a fancy restaurant, Vegas or Mexico

Me, I don't care, usually bottle. Answering for my wife, usually out of the bottle except for hefe weizen, then it has to be in a glass with a lemon wedge.

We have 3 brew pubs within a 7 mile radius of our house, so then it is always glass, fresh from the tap.

But, to your original question, who cares at a casino if you are drinking out of a bottle.

In the casinos always from the bottle unless it's a Blue Moon. Bellagio is the only place I have been served a Blue Moon properly in a chilled glass with a wedge of orange. One of these days I'll remember to take a koozie for my bottle of beer but my wife says my beer don't last long enough to bother with a koozie.
