    I maintain a library + it's grounds.
The whole library system's personnel are
    paranoid about this fact !
One library threw out some furniture.
And the staff has been taught to look for signs
of bedbugs.....esp. in THE BOOKS !
We also get tons of donated books for re-sale at
    our annual booksale.
I have to handle these donations ----
and you CAN'T IMAGINE the CRAP in these books +
the deteriorated condition of these books.
Like sitting in a musty cardboard box in damp basement
for years.......and people think WE WANT THEIR CRAP !!!??????
The local YMCA was infested with bedbugs ---
The people that live there -- come into our library during
the day because they have to leave their rooms -
(during the day) ---- and they sit on the furniture all day.
    Think about it ?
We had a homeless guy last month pee all over himself in a chair
    onto the floor.
And guess who had to clean it up ?
    Yeh......bedbugs in books ?...yup !

    Trips to Las Vegas:
I met a bedbug in Las Vegas who was tunneled and laughed at when he tried the $20 trick at Wynn.

Jeez, the stories he could tell!

Always bought the next round, though.:drunk:

I dont know if you remember this Joe

Many years ago a homeless guy was bounced from a library,I think here in Jersey for acting up and bothering people. He sued the city on the grounds that this was a public place and he had as much right to be there as anybody .I forget whether he won or not.

    He won.
When I first started this job - 17 yrs ago -
they had just set a legal decision --
something about you can't kick homeless people
    out of a public library.
We had a homeless guy who would come in
every day and STINK THE ENTIRE FLOOR UP.
    He ruined clothed furniture.
We could not evict him.....even though he smelled
    of intense urine saturation.
One rule did go into effect --- he was not allowed
    to sleep.
He did anyway.......I used to spray him down when he
was sleeping......even if his mouth was open.
