Oh no, we are comped three nights at Wynn, then were trying to decide for the other three nights between a comped go deluxe at Flamingo or a south tower room at Bally's, and hope for an upgrade.
My daughter called and told me to check the bed bugs registry online. There seem to be alot of reports of bed bugs at Flamingo so now am worried. Anyone on this site know of this? Gees, I was hoping to try a Go room, but now taking a chance on the old rooms at Bally's is looking better. Now I don't know what to do.

I wouldn't worry bed bugs happen at every hotel including the bellagio, the wynn, Caesars ect just take precautions and check prior to unpacking it takes about 10 minutes and there is tons of info on the net on what to look for. Bed bugs are not only at lower class hotels every hotel has to deal with them and you should always do checks if at a 5 star or a 1 star .

Never had an issue myself there. I will be honest & say we never even thought to check at the Hilton we stayed at a few weeks ago. It is easy to get out of that habit. But always should check!!!

What are some obvious signs to look for?

That is a website that you can look at. Also you can check your bed yourself be taking off the sheets and looking at the edges of the mattress. Look for the bugs droppings. Little black balls (dried blood) are what you are looking for. All and any hotel can have them, just look at the website and check out your bed yourself. Also, don't put your suitcase on the floor. I read that you should put them on the suitcase holder that they provide or on a counter. I even read where someone put theirs in the tub of the bathroom. (that is if they have a separate shower and tub) But don't worry just check it and you should be fine, have a great time!

You have just as good a chance of getting them at Wynn as you do at Flamingo. Hopefully you wont get them at Wynn and carry them with you to Flamingo ;)

    All resorts get bedbugs

So don't let that deter you.
I normally recommend Ballys over Flamingo--but only if you get north tower. South Tower will be a BIG disappointment after Wynn--very, very dated room, though still large, clean w/ great strip views. North Tower is redone, still same large rooms. They typically upgrade to north tower automatically upon checkin, if they are available.
Flamingo GO room is much nicer than south tower, if smaller.
It's a gamble here--book Ballys & hope you get north, or book GO? Your choice.

Thanks for all the info, I will check out the bug site for any hotel from now on!
I love playing at Flamingo, they are the last that have the old dollar wheel of fortune machines. But I checked on utube, looks like most of the rooms at Flamingo, the bathroom is right by the bed, and that wouldn't work for us cause hubby gets up very early and drinks his coffee in the bathroom and I sleep later.
So I guess we will hope for an upgrade at Ballys and go play some at Flamingo. But I will do the bug inspection from now on, thanks for all the opinions and info everyone!
I have never even been in the Wynn, so don't know what to expect, but it will be fun.

I used to worry about bed bugs everytime I went to Vegas or AC. I always say I am going to check for bugs when I check in, but I always forget in my haste to get downstairs and start having fun.

Do most people check for bugs first thing? After reading this thread, I am starting to think I am the only one that doesnt.....

    You aren't the only one!

I always place my luggage on the luggage rack or chest (never the floor or bed) & pull back the corner of the sheets to the mattress.
Happy to say we have never found bed bugs (knock on wood) & we stay in hotels monthly.
