My October Vegas trip seemed really far away. Yesterday I called and was able to book me and my boyfriend on a Beau Rivage junket (?) through M Life - if that's what you call them. Where the airfare and rooms are comped and they have specific dates flying out of a particular area.

I've never done one of these before. Is everyone on the plane going to Beau Rivage - or do they just book as many seats on the plane as they need.

If they are all going to Beau Rivage, doesn't that mean that everyone is going to be getting to the hotel at the same time. Do you still have to go through a regular check-in - or do they just basically have everyone checked in and just hand you keys - seeing as they already have your credit card info.

It looks like from the map that it is right on the water. Is there a beach area?

Any idea why you earn so many less tier credits at Beau Rivage vs. the Vegas properties? In Vegas, 1 point = 10 tier credits. At Beau Rivage, 1 point only gets you 2 tier credits.

Anything else anyone wants to share about Beau Rivage - I'm all ears. I've never been there.

On flights I have been on it is a charter, everyone is going to BR. You get off plane and walk directly to waiting buses. 20 minute drive to casino. You get in line they swipe your credit card and they give you your keys and bags are delivered to room in a couple of hours.

They have beaches the water is not blue .

The points that is just the way the do it, but they have been very liberal with comps

Usually the charter flights fill up fast, so if you haven't already responded but intend to go, definitely call ASAP.

They just switched from Vision Air to Sun Country Airline, supposedly much newer/nicer (although smaller) planes. A lot of the Vision Air employees made the switch to Sun Country I heard.

Sonyhog covered most of it. It's a cool place, and the fact it's comped makes it an easy trip if you can get the time away. They have nice dining, shopping, the casino looks like a smaller Bellagio inside and the resort sort of resembles B from the outside as well.

Thanks - just what I was looking for!

Thanks much. We are actually booked already. We didn't get an offer - I just called to see what they might have in August and whether we would qualify or not - we did so we booked immediately.

I have done a number of these from the airport in Sanford Florida. The whole plane is filled with others like you and the flight attendants usually play a gambling game on the way over. Drinks are free too. Once you check your luggage, you won't see it until you get in your room. I usually hit the casino after picking up my keys and only go to the room much later. The day you leave you will leave your luggage near the door and it will be delivered to the airport where you claim it and check it onto the jet for the return trip.

It will all be explained with info they provide in envelopes when you check in.

Beaches for walking are near the place and you can take a shuttle called the Hopper to other casinos in Biloxi. To get to blue water beaches you need to visit Ship Island ( ferry from Gulfport) where you find the normal white sand and blue clear water.

There are a couple of places near the hotel for dining and the Hard Rock is right next door.

I may go in August on a junket from a different operator to the new Harrah's.

If you are MLife Gold, you get 2 free lunch or breakfast buffets per month. I don't think the buffet is worth it otherwise. If you play MyVegas, I strongly recommend the VIP pool chair reward. Finally, if you like the spa, the massages are cheap (relative to Vegas) here...$120 for a deep tissue ... and I got it comped off with my play when all was said and done.

I look forward to hearing how you like it as we have never been, however have considered going between Vegas trips.

I had no idea that the flights are now Sun Country vs Vision, that would explain why we have seen a drastic increase in Sun Country flights (we live very -very close to PIE/St. Petersburg airport)

I am curious to know are drinks comped while gambling? I know this seems like a dumb question - but I feel like I read or overheard somewhere they were not.

Good Luck!! and have fun! :peace:

I did this a few years ago from MSP to Beau Rivage. Well organized.. fun group. We got Keys when we got there in an envelope.. and our bags were delivered within two hours. Enjoyed the spa, walked next door one day to the Hard Rock Cafe. I don't remember much about the food, had the buffet once, and the Snack Bar.. but not sure where we ate otherwise. Not ARIA or Bellagio nice.. but very nice and quality rooms. Had fun playing in the Casino. they had the newest games when I was there a few years ago. We are doing the Junket to Gold Strike in Tunica the end of July. Hubby is a golfer.. so hopefully we can figure out transportation for him to get to the golf courses. I am close to my Platinum status at MLife.. should easily make it with Tunica. This trip helped us decide to go to Vegas in October, instead of September.

Yep, drinks are comped while playing and they have great bartenders at the Breeze Bar.

Thanks everyone for all the good information. I will definitely do a trip report with pictures when I get back. One more question. This is my first charter flight and being a "Delta" girl, I'm used to being able to go on-line and choose our seats and print our boarding passes. I'm not seeing that I can get into this flight on-line. Do you just show up at the airport and choose your seats and get boarding passes there.

You show up and go through a special line and they have seats pre-assigned. They give you an envelope at sign in with info and your seat assignment. The high rollers get the front seats normally. At the Beau, you will have to give a credit card but the lines go quickly. To expand on my drink post, drinks are comped throughout the casino and in the high limit room, they offer better quality booze and special restrooms. They also have a munchies spread there but I usually don't partake since I am in on the slots for a brief period.

What are your dates? I am going on a junket to Harrah's Biloxi 15-18 August and will have a couple of comped tickets to the show http://www.beaurivage.com/entertainment/entertainment_headliners_detail.aspx?id=3023 at the Beau which I may not use. If our timing is such, you are welcome to them, just let me know what day and time you would like to attend.

Thanks for the info - I don't care much about a seat up front - but I really do prefer an aisle seat. Oh well - it's free, I'm not going to bitch :)

We are there from August 21-24. Appreciate the offer though.

Thanks for asking the questions Josie, we just got the offer in the mail and booked for 9-12 Oct. We've been to the Beau about 5 times and I really like the place. Always clean and feels like your in Vegas when you're in the casino. I like the restaurants there too...BR Prime is an upscale and intimate place for a nice dinner if you like to do that and Stalla's is a great spot for good Italian dishes and wine. The Coast is a great casual restaurant and café is very nice and is under a large sky lighted area. JIA is good too if you like Asian food. If you like to go to the pool, they have a great pool and pool deck with a restaurant that all look out over the gulf. The casino itself is actually built out over the water. If you can, upgrade to a gulf view room versus the city view at check-in...it's a beautiful sight and you can watch the shrimp and fishing boats come in and out. They also have a very cool coffee shop that opens about 6am....it's called the Roasted Bean (same name as the shop in the Mirage but much nicer). The Hard Rock is the only place I'd call "walking distance" and the HR and the Beau are (IMO) the two nicest place in Biloxi.

It's not the Wynn but every bit as nice as the Bellagio and nicer than the Mirage (these days anyway). Enjoy! Dino

    Thanks. Have a great trip!

We actually ended up cancelling this trip. My BF really didn't want to go (I kinda talked him into it) - especially after we booked it and found out how late the flights got in on Thursday night. If we're going to do a 3 night stay, we want to get in as early as possible on day 1. I'm going to Vegas solo in October, and he started saying he wished we'd planned a Duluth trip instead as we haven't been in a few years. I really didn't care that much so we just cancelled. We are booked to head up to Duluth in September for a few nights, and then a night at Grand Casino Hinckley. Just call me the queen of changing her mind :)

Who did you call? I have read here before that someone called and asked for one of these.
I have been on five of these. One guy I took as my guest and he started getting the offers too. He actually took me on a later one as his guest where he got the offer and I didn't. Another guy I took played plenty big enough on the trip but he never gotten any of the offers. My offers seem to come in batches. I would like to call and ask for one. If we could only get the things to come together we could take our golf foursome! And no, my wife does not want to be my guest. I can barely get her to go to Las Vegas on rare occasions.

 that's me too, I'm always changing plans and my mind. In fact I have a Vegas trip planned the same time (10/5 - 10/10) of this BR offer (10/9 - 10/12) but since SW took the non-stop flight to LAS out of our airport the flights available are horrible...always at least one stop and change and a lot of the times 2 and a min of about 7-8 hrs to get to Vegas where as the chartered flight is non-stop and it's about a 2 hr flight.

    So.....we'll see:beer:

Anybody have any info on how updated the rooms at the Beau are....or aren't?

I also noticed on the offer that for an add'l $150 you can get RT 1st class air depending on availability. Pretty good price for a 2+ hr flight. The offer actually says $150 but after calling, the customer service host said it's a $150 "fee" versus the $40 "convenience fee" so now only a difference of $110. *The $40 fee is returned to both travelers in the form of Free Play. I'm not sure she's correct on that so we'll see what charge ultimately hits my CC. Either way, for $150 I'll take the nice comfy seat and leg room for some good pre-trip karma:beer:

That's a really good deal for round trip first class. I took 2 cruises last year, both from Florida. I flew Sun Country for both. As you get off the ship so early, I was first in line both times to check in for the flight hom - both times they had First Class available for $89 - and I thought that was a good deal!
