    My Trip Report

Hotel : sold out..absolutely jam packed crowded.
Entertainment : spent most of Saturday at the pool..good vibe, crowded, good pool service but hard to find a lounge chair... Also saw the 7 pm show currently there for the summer - good value and entertainment for a hour and thirty minutes
Food : Saturday evening at the buffet...not very good - especially for $32/pp
Gambling: VERY crowded casino... Hard to get on table : +$1700 in 45 minutes of DD BJ

Overall good stay - definitely the busiest that I have seen the entire place with over 50 visits throughout the last 15 years

Headed back to the Beau in July---love the pool, $25 DD BJ and, now that the Shucker's Stadium is complete, either the gulf or city view is just fine---

Congrats on the BJ run. We are going down to the coast for a few days in July. Thanks for the report. BR used to have the best buffet on the coast but for some reason they have gone downhill the last couple of years. Hard Rock's is still good and it is only a 5 minute walk from BR.

Maybe those junkets to the Beau are paying off...lol We went to Tunica around this time last year and it was one of the busiest times I have seen it as well.

I stumbled on an email (and later, received a mailer) from MGM offering a junket to Beau Rivage. $40 for flight from GRB, 3 nights of city view room and $40 Freeplay.

I was bummed because I have this week off for a chip collecting road trip, almost certainly will be off for 8 days (6 work days) in September to go to Hawaii and then taking 4 days for Vegas in October. (So this would mean missing nearly 2 full work weeks in September plus, I'd be down to like 4 unscheduled days of PTO).

But, there's no way I could beat this deal with hit up a good number of the Mississippi casinos for my chip collection. This TR showed that the BR really seems like a nice place and I'm pretty damn torn.

I spent one night at BR last week while in town for a conference. Had a great time and even won a few hundred playing Caribbean Stud Poker. One tip about the Beau for VP players that like bartops. The only VP bar that they have is the Breeze Bar and it is a pretty fun place with two long sides and the bartenders in the middle. The odd thing is that their progressive jackpots for .25 games is different on one side of the bar from the other. Last week the side closest to the entrance had a progressive of $1,400 while the side closest to the east wall was only $1,075. Always remember to check both sides before choosing a seat.

Was just at BR last night. Don't know how late the buffet is open on Saturday night. But, at 10:00pm there had to have been well over 100 people in line. Hope it's good now or there would have been a lot of disappointed folks!

I received a similar junket offer for flying out of MSP. Work and already-agreed-to family obligations prevented me from giving it a shot this time, but I'd like to check BR out sometime!
