Well if it didn't get any worse than this, I'd say the Beau probably did OK. For those that have never been there, the first floor (casino, retaurants and shops) are elevated a fair amount above that street area and the landscaping you see.

Which reminds me....for any of the BR frequent vistiors, have they done any room/suite renovations yet?

Also, last time we were there they still had not repaired the marina from Katrina....did they ever make it functional again?

The marina is still closed as far as I could tell last month.

My room had not been renovated.

The pictures on Facebook are pretty incredible right now. I'd really like to see pictures of the new margarittaville casino, it was built on "stilts" so it should be dry.

they're not going to reopen the marina. guess they just don't have the demand for it and/or it would require too much money to fix. they have a lot of updates on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/beaurivage. i'm supposed to be there tomorrow, but slim chance of that. it probably will be at least a couple of days before they can reopen with the streets flooded, etc.

That's good news...let us know what you find if you're still going.

We haven't been for two years. I'm really surprised they haven't done a reno on the rooms but I guess because it's not Vegas, the competition really isn't too steep so they can get awaya w/ the status quo. I've laways really liked the place though...I see definite pieces of Bellagio and even a little Wynn.
