Trying to decide between the two shows...I am not a big fan of musical shows, but wife likes them. Please help me decide.

Both are good so you can't go wrong. I've seen both and I think I would say J Boys as it's more story telling then a musical. Really, either one.

I agree, both are good, both are worth seeing, Cirque is not really what I would consider a "musical", and Jersy Boys is a lot of story with Franky Valle's songs interspersed.

Your age might be a factor in your enjoyment. I was a teenager during the British invasion, but I had a brother 9 years older than me, so I was exposed to the music of Both shows at a young age.

Having said that, I drug my wife to Jersey boys, she had no interest in it and she loved it! Love was also the first Cirque show that she liked.

You can't go wrong in my opinion!

I would choose based on which music genre you prefer.

Love was ok for me. Jersey Boys was great! Even though I'm about 20 or 30 years behind the Beatles era, I'm about 30 to 40 years behind Jerseys Boys' music but still enthralled with JB! The story in JB keeps you into it. Plus, see JB before the movie comes out June 20th! Or I guess, see Love in Vegas and just see JB in the theaters.

J Boys is a interesting musical story. Love more acrobatic, less story. J Boys got a standing ovation twice when I was there. Both are good. I prefer the J Boys would even go again. I would not go to see Love again.

    I have seen both twice.

As others have said, it's hard to recommend either without more information.

We have seen both. Both are GREAT shows and really you can't go wrong with either one. If I had to decide between the the two, we would have to give a slight edge to Jersey Boys.

Let me preface this by saying I am not a show person. But my wife is.

    I'm a big Beatles fan.

But that being said I would choose Jersey Boys.

Love did nothing for me. But then again I 've seen all the cirque shows and didn't care for any of them.

I thought JB was really good. Fast paced. Really well done.

Like 21Wins said. I too am a big Beatles fan but I enjoyed Jersey Boys much better. The story and acting trump the gymnastics of the Love show.

We've been to Jersey boys twice and can't wait to go again. I learned a lot more of the story on the 2nd time we went.

I agree with all of this. Both are good, but the best thing about Love is the Beatles' music. Jersey Boys is a compelling story, and you will be surprised how many of the songs you know.

Both are very good. Both have excellent music. Jersey Boys is a drama and does contain some rough language, if that's a concern. Love is fun fluff with sort of a story, typical Cirque stunts, and a lovingly remastered sound track mostly by George Martin, a musical genius who doesn't always get credit for what he did for the group. So select based on your musical tastes and/or how light or heavy you want the show to be.

If you see Love, it's important not to sit in the front section. I prefer the middle, but the back isn't bad.
