I haven't been to Boyd casinos in 3 1/2 years, yet on my card it says I have 57488 slot points. Does anyone know what these can be used for ? Thanks

Boyd slot points and redeemable for either cash or food.

For cash, it's 1,000 points = $1, so your balance is technically $57.48 but it's been my experience that they will round down to the nearest $5, so you'd probably be able to redeem them for $55.00.

For food in casino certain restaurants, you can "pay with points" (present card and put in your PIN, and show photo ID) and get a 40% discount as well-- and pay no sales tax, as long as the total amount is covered-- so this would be $80.47 worth for a restaurant bill.

If you don't want cash or food, another option might be freeplay. Some machines will allow you redeem points for instant freeplay, right at the machine. Try clicking MENU on the machine (with your card inserted) and going to FREE PLAY or PROMO and following the prompts. You'll need to know your pin. You should be able to download freeplay in blocks of $5, $10, $20, etc. I've done this before as well.

I was going to reply, but raisingoo covered all the options!

But, we have to wait for the naysayers who refuse to accept that it is a 40% discount on food and beverage.

In Indiana and Tunica, food/drink is worth double. Can't use comps on booze in Indiana though. :(
