I'm thinking of going in mid April for a convention ( NAB ), so prices are high. I could swing Bally's, Flamingo or Linq, all basic rooms, no upgrades. I have stayed at Bally's, room was okay, location is great, I like the poker room. I like the Linq area, The Trooper deals at their poker room and the rooms are recently renovated. Although I wonder how small they are. Flamingo seems to be on many people's list of place to stay at once but the casino is very pinkish. So I guess I'm asking Bally's vs. Linq rooms.

    Thoughts and experiences?

    Have stayed at all 3.
Ballys has largest rooms, no contest. Jubilee Tower is very nice. Indigo Tower is fine.
LINQ rooms have been decently redone but are very small. I also like the casino & the area. (not sure what the Trooper deals at the poker room are--do tell!) Big enough for 1 person.
Flamingo is on may people's list to stay at--huh? WHOSE? We stayed once. GO room--did like the room but it ended there. There were a couple of very disgusting hallway cleanliness issues that took DAYS to be cleaned. That has steered us away since then. It has been a few years, so if it was our only comp offer we might stay again. Best pool, no contest.
If it is just you, I'd take which ever is cheaper of LINQ or Ballys.

Go Ballys if you can get Jubilee tower, otherwise go Linq.

Having stayed at all 3 withing the last 18 months, I'd go

    Linq
    Ballys
    Flamingo

Linq rooms smaller but nicely done.

I made a math mistake. Bally's would be $275 cheaper for the 5 nights.

$55 a night is a significant savings. I'd stick with Ballys in that case. Indigo tower rooms are dated, but still spacious and clean. Plus you can try tipping $20 at check in to upgrade to the Jubilee tower.

I will say Linq is next to a nice selection or casual restaurants. If you wanna eat well at Bally's, you have to go to Paris or PH. BLT (and maybe SEA) is the only place I'd eat at Ballys -- the reviews I've seen confirm this. Yard House is 100!!!!

If you are comfortable at Ballys, you will see a significant difference in size if you choose Linq. However if you are traveling alone the room size should still be fine.

I've stayed at Flamingo and Bally's. I didn't care for Bally's so my next stay between the two will be Flamingo.

The sidewalk Mexican restaurant in Bally's is great!

The Trooper is a Las Vegas local YouTube Vlogger who happens to deal poker at The Linq.

I booked the Linq. While I have concerns about too small of a room, I like the idea of a recently renovated room. I didn't think I could get an upgrade at Bally's because it is insane that week with the NAB convention. The difference with the JetBlue package deal was $131 dollars for the 5 nights plus I get $50 F&B. I am sure I will drink that!

Thanks for all of the help.

Make sure to report back how you liked, or disliked the room.

Good choice...the standard room at the Linq is small, compared to Bally's, but you'll have a renovated room with a mini fridge...FYI, just like all Vegas casinos, there's no clock in the room at the Linq....

    I will.

I actually prefer that. I have an iPhone, so there's my alarm. I hate the glow from a clock radio.

A slight turn fixes that glow.

Was just there last week, not a one :( I never gave the clock radio much thought UNTIL I didn't have one, go figure. But the fridge was nice!

Take a fridge over the clock any time.
