I've seen references here and there to a Bally's South Tower renovation project but can't seem to find much detail. Anyone know what the scoop is with Bally's? Are they finally transitioning to the 21st century with the decor? Hell, I'd take late 20th century at this point.

There was merely a mention on a blog that they were doing some work. But it must not be a complete gut and redo if they haven't done any press in advance. There will probably not be much news about it until the renovated rooms go into circulation for a higher cost.

It is nice to see some room refreshes happening at CET. Is it because the economy getting better, competition, or are they actually using the resort fees to fund the work.

In any case, it is good news

We stayed at Bally's in April and were told when we checked in that they are remodeling the South Tower rooms this fall I believe. We are Diamond so they always put us in the North Tower but the South Tower has the better views. I really like the North Tower actually because of the walkway over to Paris and on down to PH. My guess would be after the remodel the South Tower will be similar to the North. Nothing fancy but pretty big and clean. You can't beat the location.
