I have played at Bally's almost everytrip to Vegas but I haven't actually stayed in a room there in 10 years...So correct me if I am wrong on any of the following....

#1 Luxury North Tower Room...currently listed on their website as 530 sq.ft bigger than their normal North Tower room....would these be what others refer to as the Diamond Floor/Rooms? Guessing on the upper floors?

#2 Food Court and Nosh....yes or no to being able to use TR points there or charge it to the room? I have pts I want to dump while I am there and I know we will end up at those places for a light snack. In the past there have been food courts that you could not use pts at...so I need to ask you guys this.

#3 Sidewalk Cafe's Express Buffet ....$10.99 on their website sounds a little too cheap to me...assuming this is a very basic small set up and does NOT include beverage? Heck they get $5 for a glass of juice there so I am assuming no drink in that price. I don't eat more than the basics and Paris buffet is getting pricey...with usually long lines. But if Sidewalk Cafe is going to set me back $16 for a subpar buffet I might as well walk down the hall to the other one.

Thanks all....hope the place isn't too full of looneys that week since it is Halloween.

    Hi Tammy..
Luxury NT is on upper floors on Diamond floors with a strip view.

Use comps at Nosh...yes. Food court....not last time I tried although Nathans would let us charge to the room. The restaurants downstairs are being remodeled and new ones coming when we there in early April. Johnny Rockets is supposed to accept them but not sure since they don't at the Flamingo. (was told this info by a clerk at the TR desk)

Sidewalk café buffet is very, very small....have read on this board that some thought it not worth the $$ but have not tried before. Since your drink is included at other buffet, might pay to use a $5 coupon from your booklet you get at checkin.....or do the buffet of buffets for 24 hours eating.

Hope you have a really great trip!!!

Don't know exactly what dates you will be there but my family will be there from 10/24 thru 10/28. Probably a few of my relatives would fall into the category of "looney"!! Our trip is set up around the Jimmy Buffet concert and my availibility to babysit the night they go. There are alot of very crazy Buffet fans that stay at the Flamingo and Bally's but they are all good natured.
We will all (12 of us) be staying in the north tower just because you can take the elevator down to the pool level without hiking through the casino! I love Bally's and have been treated very well there. I agree with the breakfast buffet not being much for the money. They will let you walk over there and take a look at it before you order. Anyway hope you have a great time and lots of luck!

I stayed in a north tower room a few weeks ago and although the room was big I would not call it luxury.

    pretty old and beaten up.

Oh I know gerry, I am only choosing it because it is free, the largest room with 2 beds I have comped. Only going to be there less than 48 hours to grind away on slots...Our second trip this year and it is me and the MIL. She insists on her own bed. I dont' want to hike far this trip and plan on getting the myVegas for Bellagio lunch buffet. LOL @ Carole, I don't arrive until the 29th...so I will miss all the Parrot heads.

I can't for the life of me remember...can you charge stuff at the little store to the room....snacks, drinks etc...in order to use points to pay?

If you mean the little convenience store right off the casino--you can pay with points right there. No need to charge to the room, which saves you sales tax. Just make sure you have your TR card and ID with you.

Regarding breakfast, depending on your comfort level with credit cards, you could sign up for the (no annual fee) TR visa card before your trip. This will get you a free buffet of buffet pass for two, so you could eat twice (or more) at the Paris buffet. It also gives you Platinum status for a year, so you can skip the long lines there and at most other Caesars properties. I found this a really nice perk.

Already have the TR credit Card...I had the old one too. Mine was activated when it first came out in April...on our trip in May we didn't use the BoB deal with it...we had too many other places to eat thanks to myVegas. My free BoB will expire before my trip. After 10 years of mainly CET props and having their credit card we are giving up on CET and moving to mlife. Stayed at Mirage in May. I currently have $134 in free money from CET and still have comped rooms...plus the free Plat...that is the reason for the Bally's stay this time. I will do my heavier gambling at South Point the last 2 nights of my trip. This trip was a Catch 22....stay 4 nights at a CET prop for free, but play money sucking machines on the strip....or do 2 nights strip and 2 nights South Point where my $$ lasts me 10 times longer.

Trouble is I want to play stay at South Point...but I feel it is stupid to fly all the way out there from Mass and not spend some time on the strip. No matter how much I love SP I need the "feel" of the strip to know I am in Vegas. Thanks for all the info. I want to use up my TR points since the plan for next year is to stay at Monte Carlo or Mirage.
