I'm staying at Bally's March 10th-14th and was wondering if it will be open? I stayed at Harrah's two years ago around the same time and it was closed. I thought I remember seeing the pool open when I was going by on the Monorail but I can't remember. Also is it heated? I last stayed at Ballys 10 years ago in Octoberand it was warm enough then.

Ballys guests have access to the pool at Paris which is open year round. They say the pool is "heated" to 74 degrees...but it is still FREEZING cold

There is generally no set date for a pool to reopen. If they don't have to do any major maintenance work, it will be open in some fashion as soon as the weather warrants it.

Even if I don't go for a swim, I'd still like to be able to sit outside, and soak up some sun, and do some reading in between gambling sessions. When I first arrived on my March trip in 2010, it was cold the first few days, but it was great pool weather the last few.

Right now even if you called them they are unlikely to have any idea of when their pool will open for the season. Its going to open sometime in March, but will be entirely dependent upon the weather.

As was said: if the Bally's pool isn't open guests are allowed to use the Paris pool which will be open since it is heated (there will be signs at the Bally's pool directing guests there).

Since your trip is close to the middle of March I would say you are probably going to have a decent chance the pool will be open (probably 70-80%).

I was staying at Bally's the last week in November after their pool was closed for the season. There was still open access to the pool area with only a few loungers out on the pool deck and no towels. So I guess you could still go out there and relax as long as you stay out of the pool until it officially reopens.

March is always iffy, especially beginning of the month. I have been there numerous times the last week of March, which is our Spring Break time. Many of the pools open right before I get there. I know this because I always try and get a cabana and the pool department isnt open till a week before I leave. I can't tell you how many times I have been told I am the first person to make a cabana reservation for the season, lol. But usually before I get there, the pools are opened for the season. But, for whatever reason, it can be VERY windy in March and I've been at the pools when they have to close them due to high winds. This has been at other pools, for example Mirage, because they are worried about Palm fronds coming down and hurting someone. Not sure if this would happen at Bally's as there are only a couple of trees and they have never closed it while I have been there. I have looked at the pool later in the day after they close it, and have seen the chairs whipped around. Yikes.

Good luck, I hope the pool gods are good to you. There is nothing like going to Vegas after living in a colder climate and just being able to sit outside in the sun after a long hard winter.

    Have fun!

Going to Vegas, arriving March 31st and staying the first week of April? Im guessing most the hotels on the strip will have their pools open by then?

Im think of staying at either Ceasars or the Mirage?

    Nope

Ballys pool isn't open in March; but with your room key you can use Paris & Caesars, which will both be open

It is generally open mid march. Been there and just verified it on their website. But of course, it is always dependent on the weather
