going in sept looking for more laid back pool. we've been to flamingo it is a little to crowded for us and don't like having to go to the pool at 9 am just to get a place. since we wanted to stay center strip these seem to be the most logical places. any one been to either of these pools care to way in.

Flamingo will be crowded as you already know. Harrah's has just about the worst pool on the strip. Perhaps Bally's? Not too crowded and a little quieter for you? I cannot stress enough how bad the Harrah's pool is!

Paris pool is layed back as well. They do play music but it doesn't seem to be a "party" type pool. They also rent cabanas and serve drinks but it didn't seem crowded when I was there. It's pretty good sized and it is round. Didn't see much in the way of shade. I guess it depends on the time of day. Another thing to consider is you may be able to go to a different CET pool regardless of where you are staying. The policy on this may have changed? I have seen it mentioned on other threads.

Bally's has one of the few pools with a deep end...if that interests you.

I don't believe they allow this anymore. I stayed at the flamingo this past march and was denied access to Caesars pool

We really enjoy Bally's pool for several reasons.....easy to get loungers since it is not overly crowded except maybe on a Saturday, Nice music - not too loud, very few kiddos & great foo-foo drinks. Just a more laid back place if you want to relax.

Part of the question might be: what do you want to do at the pool?

Harrah's has about the lamest pool out there: a small rectangle cut in to the sun deck... so if you are looking to go swimming, definitely not the best place.

However, if you are looking to just lay there and get some sun and only want the pool as a place to cool off then Harrah's is pretty good for that since they have a pretty huge sun deck out there as well as a fountain to cool off with and you get music coming from Carnival Court

Stay away from Harrah For pool. I wish I found this forum before I made that mistake. The water was dirty and pool was so small.

Flamingo will definitely be a pool "party" atmosphere, it is more difficult later in the day to get a lounge chair, BUT not impossible. I like Ballys pool and Paris' pool. When I worked at Paris, I'd always hear and see the music coming from Bally's pool when I was on my way to work. It seemed to me they had a Dj on the weekends. I think you'll be disappointed if you chose Harrahs. I'd go with Bally's or Flamingo. Have fun

Just returned from Bally's and we like their pool because it isn't crowded. You can get a nice spot anytime during the day. You can swim without having people on top of you. The pool is the reason we picked Bally's. Plus you can bring in food and beverages and they don't say a word. We didn't make it obvious when we brought in the beer but once we had it we didn't need to hide it. Pool opens at 8 am. I did notice a lot of other pools didn't open that early. Bar doesn't open until 10 so if you want anything before that you definitely have to bring your own.

Since you are looking in Bally's/Harah's direction I would suggest Monte Carlo's pool, stayed there MDW 2011 and fiance and her girlfriends loved it. Actually doing it again in July with the executive cabana this time due to the size of the group coming in. Tons of chairs and availability. If you stay there it's free entry, not sure re another TR property. We are staying at Harrah's only because we got comped 4 of the 6 nights we are there while we couldn't pull that at any of the other hotels when we booked the trip in February.

Aria also has an incredible pool area. Three separate pools I believe, stayed at the one on the right after you enter, we stayed at MDW 2010. The party pool Liquid was not an issue at all, further back in the area and we got down there around 11 and found 4 chairs together.

    Hope this helps.

I was wondering about bally`s pool myself.

I am going in july and like to take a pool break during the day especially in that heat.

wife and I stayed at plaza on fremont last july and it was great, good drinks, nice view and really quiet.

I am alone now so was thinking of changing it out and stay on the strip at bally`s but hopefully it isn`t crazy busy during the week in july.
