Baha Mar has updated their website and released quite a bit of new information. Including what appears to be a full list of restaurants / shops / gaming options.

I can't find out whether all of this will be available on March 27th (the new opening date) or closer to May/June/Grand opening.

The Hyatt opens later then the other sections of the hotel, so I'd imagine some of the restaurant options in that area may be more limited.

All-in-all the FAQ makes it appear that Baha Mar has answered nearly every big concern/complaint I've ever had about Atlantis. For all the things Atlantis does well, they've got room for improvement.
    - Single resort fee that includes gratuities (Atlantis has like four components). I'd imagine this can be comp'd more easily then with Atlantis.
    - More restaurant variety
    - Better gaming program / Possible points. Atlantis's program is very ambiguous and while a host will always have more discretion on offers, a more transparent program sounds nice.
    - Better room rates (at least at launch). Near the whole summer shows better rates then Atlantis. Not to mention Rosewood will be nicer then the cove.
    - Location in Nassau is better for travel. Probably a half hour less round trip from airport compared to Atlantis.

Atlantis is a lot of fun with a great location, but Baha Mar has a big opportunity to do it well. Hopefully Atlantis continues to improve (which they have, service on my last trip was fantastic) and there are a couple good options in Bahamas for gaming.

Well unfortunately Baha Mar is still far from open, but it looks like Atlantis will be dropping their resort fee to better compete with Baha Mar. I just saw some materials this week that stated Atlantis would be dropping the fee shortly.

I have some recent reservations that still include the fee, but when I visit in a few weeks I'll see if it still posts. It was very frustrating to see as much as $125/nt in resort fees/gratuities/random service charges at checkout. If you had a couple rooms comp'd you could still end up with $1k in charges at the end lol. Quite a bit different then Vegas.

Baha Mar has cancelled reservations through May and is only showing availability in the main casino hotel in June. I'm visiting Atlantis in Late May and had hoped to visit the Baha Mar casino portion, but it looks like that won't be happening. Who knows though... maybe they'll have a soft opening at the last minute.
