Okay, I should say my friend has a host, I am the amoeba-roller tagalong friend. When we checked out, they comped all F & B and resort fees. She was given a host card and told, "Next time you come back, give us a call and we will see what we can do for you."

So, being a total noob, what does that mean? She went from Sapphire to just below Platinum (if we only had one more day!) in three days.

Friend did realize she needed to bring way more money next time! The envelope-per-day method turned into the envelope-per-hour method pretty quickly... :0

Next time you want to go back, you should call them and see what they can do for you. Or rather, your friend should. Assuming you want to stay at MB again. They'll comp you up front based on your friend's play from this trip. If she earned almost 200K tier credits in 3 days, you can expect a free room plus some F&B and FP.

So, just to be clear, you are planning your next trip, and you have your dates, so you call the host up.

Have your player's card number handy.

You connect with the host and you say,

"Hi, this is Royal Flusher calling, Jimmy, how are you?"

Host says: "Royal, nice to hear from you, how can I help you?"

"Jimmy, I'm coming in next month and I wanted to see what you can do for me."

"Royal, do you have your players card number handy?"

    "Yes, its 1236969."

"What dates are you looking at?"

"Coming in on blah blah and leaving blah blah blah."

(sound of typing, some phone squeaks, maybe a quiet burp)

"I can put you in a Flamebroiled Suite with a Mall view and $1000 freeplay. We'll take care of your food. Can I book that for you?"

    "Fuck yeah!"

    That's pretty much it.

    I probably need to be traveling with you. My phone calls to the reservation department are way different;

'Hi I'm looking at booking a room'

Res Dept - 'gsdrfpgf' (they say something and their thick accent of their mother tounge tcomes through that I can't understand them).

Me - 'Can you say that again?'

    Res Dept - 'gsdrfpgf'

Me - 'What is the best price you can do on rooms for such and such dates?'

Res Dept - 'it is x amount of dollars' (I can now start to understand them).

Me - 'that's more than the rate calendar online in my Total Rewards account'

Res Dept - 'Then go there and book a room.'

I hang up the phone in frustration and still end up booking on line.

No flamebroiled suite but we did contact the host and say when we were thinking of travelling. Host offered four days at either MB or THE Hotel, a nice chunk of FP, and limo. Pretty awesome!
