    My Trip Report

As luck would have it, a meeting I have is in Las Vegas tomorrow!!! Last second kind of thing so am heading out to the airport in an hour - gonna play the fool a little tonight. Get up early, get the meeting over with - hopefully by noon I will be free to hit the Strip hard until Monday morning! Difference between coach and first class was $50 so it was a no brainer - straight to the front of the Airbus - I hate it when the peons in coach bump me while they are going to the back of the plane as I am sitting in first pounding back a couple of adult beverages before we hit the skies. Actually after watching an hour or so of these Washington politicians figuring out how to screw the country a little more, I think I need a weekend of "relaxation".

Well got here no problem - little bumpy going through the clouds.

Feel like a kid in a candy store were without any supervision! Blew a quick $500 on BJ without release - bummer. I was good and resisted all the fried foods that are good for the soul and had a turkey sandwich for dinner. Was not so hungry since I ate at the airport on the way here. So since I was good tomorrow I can have wings, fried cheese, fries, poppers, and all the other artery clogging foods.

I am going to relax the rest of the night and head to bed early.

Oh the excitement of Vegas Baby got to me in my sleep and I was up at 4am!!!! I need to relax myself - maybe wait until 6 for breakfast - take my time in the shower - making myself pretty. Head down to get the car around 9 - then back here by noon to let party begin! Should i splurge and get room service for breakfast? i always get disappointed when i order breakfast from RS since those damn covers steam the food and the potatoes and toast gets soggy. bacon always seems to suck from room service as well - maybe i will haul my rear downstairs for food - then i won't be tempted to order eggs, waffles, pancakes, fruit, oatmeal, etc..... since I would not want to be a pig in public - if room service - I can order for 10 and fatten up in the privacy of my own room - let me see if i can calm myself by watching 4 reruns of sports center until 6am

tear 'em a new one in vegas, I wanna see those Wynn letters replaced with Ttom when I get to town!

love ordering for two at room service, when they say how many I always blush as I say "2", knowing full well its only me in the room. If I REALLY order a lot I'll run the shower to pretend the "wife" is in their when the room service guy arrives just so I don't appear to be a total pig.

Hey don't judge, its not like they are telling the truth when they say call and we'll be right up to get your tray (that sits in the hall for 4 days).

Sounds like you're having a good time. Where are you staying? The people you're meeting for work must be used to out of towners coming in for meetings. They'll understand if you're a bit distracted and want to get out of the meeting early.

Well it has been a wild day - I had to have lunch after my appointment so that delayed arrival back to the hotel until 130 or so. Answered a couple of emails then ran downstairs. Dice were calling my name - since I already crapped out the chicken and the maple tree, I knew there were no more craps in me. I did not bet until I got the dice - about 10 minutes - it was difficult not to put a chip down. I wanted to cover the whole table with my first bets. I settled on $100 pass line with a $50 HornHiYo.....and 11! Yes good way to start. That was good for over $300 to start. I got a point of 10 - I hate those impossible to make. So since I have the three extra black chips, I put it on the odds and three out a quarter on fifty five. Thought I had too much out there so didn't make any other bets...rolled for what seemed for ever - should have been playing the 6 and 8!!! Well finally the old double nickle showed up and they threw a ton of chips my way....wasn't quite $1000 but it sure felt good. I made another point before the dang 7 came - I hung around for a round on the table to shoot again and it was mostly win and lose - made a few bucks on my last roll but nothing spectacular....walked away almost up $2000 - couldn't quite get that third yellow chip when I walked away.

I felt like I had Asian fever so headed over to Pai Gow - I think the womens Korean short track speed skaters were all over the table - but then they talked and it was Chinese so maybe it was the Chinese team? Anyway, they were sweet to look at while the dealer stole $500 from me in a half hour. My wife isn't reading this right?

Okay, I knew the mojo was over to 4 card poker - or whatever the Vegas version is. Crazy 4? I like it there because I can get 4 5 6 of spades with lik the 9 of diamonds and J of clubs and pretend I am play 3 card poker and get paid 40-1! I played there for 3 drinks which I think was an hour so the cards must have been good. I am sorry I don't remember al the hand but there were two 3 of a kinds which paid well I think. I think my $500 turned into $900 or so - only because it was a good handful of black chips.

I needed a rest so went to the poker bar. It was annoying since it was only for quarters. Great - I can get the best hand in the world and only walk away with a grand. The alcohol was good but I got bored too quickly at the penny ante poker. POKER! I headed over to the poker room - best I could do I was $2-5 no limit. That was very blurry - but I know I left money at the table - maybe $500 or so.

Came back for a nap and now I am ready for the night life! I need food first. I hate going to nice restaurants on my own so it will probably be something casual.

Reminder to self - walk out with around $3k in the pocket.....aim for $6k on the return!

Now this is the type of Vegas trip me and my husband only WISH we would have!!! Looks like you are having a great time! Rest up. Tip for the hangover you are sure to have, some type of green tea with ginsing ( NOT energy drink) ginsing is the unsung hangover hero! Well that and some good greasy food!:peace:

Nice to see someone takin' down The Man! I am a perennial contributor the Casino's bottomline most trips.

I too hate eating fancy alone, but there is one place that I have found that is great for it. L'atalier de Joel Robushon at MGM. Think Sushi bar with French food. Ask for seat 1, 2 or 3 at the counter and you get to enjoy the show and chat with the chefs while they make the food right in front of you. I told them I did not like Frois Gras and they even made me a special Amuse Bouche (sp?). The Pork Belly was absolutely incredible!!! Good times!

    Thanks for the updates.
