Can anyone give me any information on the Baccarat side bets available in some casinos? What am I betting on? I assume the odds are poor.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

All the Mlife properties have the pair bac side bets. You are betting on whether the Players or Bankers first two cards will be a pair.

Another sidebet you will find is the dragon bonus (Not to be confused with Dragon 7 bonus which you will find on EZ Bac). This bets on the spread of the Player or Banker win. THe larger the win, the bigger the payoff.

And yes as with any side bet, they have a fairly high house edge. Though I believe the Dragon Bonus House Edge isn't as bad as the pair side bet.

your best info will be found at http://wizardofodds.com/games/baccarat/appendix/5/.

the one side bet not listed on that page is the pair bets, which they have all over Vegas. you're betting that either player or banker (or you can bet both) will have a pair in the first 2 cards. note that QJ is not a pair even though they're both 10-value cards. it pays 12 to 1, but the true odds are almost 14 to 1, so the HA is over 14%.
