The official March Madness countdown stands at T-88.
That is all...
Awesome...I was telling anyone that would listen on Wednesday "it" was only 3 months away.
When is the Championship game.
Well, the bad news is that I thought I could make that weekend but now won't be able to. Next trip is probably not going to be until next November. Now, the good news is that the reason I can't go is that I have to do a business trip that weekend to Atlantis in the Bahamas. My customer is having a sales award meeting there and invited us to participate. Wow! Beach, sun, and Casino in the same place. My wife gets to go with my parents watching the kids. And it's almost all paid for.
Mid April, I believe
Nice going Bob! Atlantis looks great, especially with financial aid!
April 5th is the Championship game and I'll be in Vegas for it. NICE
Getting steadily closer at T-87...
Man, it sounds like somebody here REALLY has the itch...
Of course, I can't wait to get there, but since I don't have my bankroll as large as it needs to be, it doesn't feel like I'm ready to go yet. I'm tellin' ya--it feels pretty good to walk in to the bank, buy a big stack of travelers checks, and tell the gal behind the counter that all that money is going to Vegas!
But it's a better feeling to tell the gal behind the counter at the airport "VEGAS BABY!" when she asks where I'm heading...
T minus less than 3 months. Oh hell yeah.
Yeah, I got the itch, and it seems as though its directly beneath a new pair of Carahartt work pants...
T-80!!! Would be T-79 except for that whole leap year deal. Tick-tock...tick tock...tick tock...
Patience like a saint with the kids, no patience for the countdown.
They make an ointment for that.
Yeah, and its only available in a sparkly little town in the desert...
It's amazing to me how many groups head out for the first weekend of the NCAA College BB tourney. My friends and started going six years ago in our late 20's and haven't missed a year yet. We meet all kinds of groups in the airports, men, many in their 40's and 50's. We started at MGM but soon moved on to the Mother of All Sportsbooks (MOAS)- Mandalay Bay. We are the idiots yelling at the screens from 9am until midnight, eating at the hot dog stand and refilling our beers by the drink babes. This year we'll be at the Luxor for it's lower room rates, but just cross over the bridge and we are at the MOAB. Please don't throw beer at us if we are too loud...thans.....Jack21
T-75. What does the 't' stand for???
I think it stands for takeoff. As in T-2 (two days before I takeoff for Vegas).
T-100+ (over 100 days before my next trip to Vegas)
On April 5, I'll be Augusta watching a Masters practice round. I'm beginning to wonder if it would have been more fun to be in Vegas for the championship game.
My brother has been going to the practice rounds/pro am/par 3 contest for the last few years. He always comes back with great stories and awesome pictures.
But of course, I'd rather be in Vegas.
I think the 'T' stands for
Try not to reraise Mikey on the river...
