We just had our Atlantis trip for next week cancelled. Thinking about going to Rincon by San Diego. How is the Hotel and casino?

Nice hotel, lazy river pool, swim up bar, adult only pool. Casino isn't real big, not a great selection of slots, all the table games you want, but they use cards at craps and roulette per California law. Their are a few other casinos within 20 min drive if you want to move around.

I'll let others chime in, but Harrahs So Cal is nice..and like others said, there are a few other casinos around in case you get bored.

That sucks but obviously you wouldn't want to be there in that mess. I was feeling bad for all the people who have cruises booked right now in the Caribbean going out of Florida. I know it's no ones fault, but would be terribly disappointing none the less. I'm booking a cruise for 15 days to surprise my two youngest children with for Christmas and am making sure I book it outside of hurricane season. Hope you still have an enjoyable vacation and when you get to Atlantis enjoy and good luck.

We like Rincon--rooms, slots and the food selection is not bad.

Quick question, when your trip is cancelled due to weather emergencies do they reschedule you right away? I was going to book a cruise soon and thought about all the cruises of the Caribbean that I'm sure were cancelled due to the hurricane as well. I wonder if they reschedule them or just give you a credit and make you go through the entire booking again for dates of your choosing? I imagine the back log of people in cruise ships whose trips were cancelled is gonna cause a sell out for early year trips ( when I was planning on booking to go)

Don't think there were a ton of cancellations. Last I heard Royal Caribbean cancelled 1 and rerouted another significantly enough they were giving 100% credit. And yes, it is usually a credit for passenger to use on a future booking of their choice. If Disney, Carnival, NCl and princess were similar that's probably 5-7 cruises total. How much it impacts passenger loads early next year probably depends on how many of the people can rebook soon, as opposed to having to make new arrangements for work etc farther down the road.
