Sorry not sure if this should be in the hotels or getting around section.

What is the walking time from an average room at aria to the strip, going through Crystals?

Any other 'getting around' tips for Aria?

Is the tram useful for anything other than if you are going to MC or Bellagio?

    Thanks

Tram was better than walking outside up and over the walk ways where the escalator hardly worked, we found it most effective to do the connecting walkway to MC then go through and cross the street at the light.

It's not long at all, depending on how fast you walk. I walk at sloth speed but I still didn't find it too long or too annoying to get to.

Yes. It's useful if you want to go anywhere south of those places as well. It's convenient to take the tram to MC and then walk to NYNY, MGM, etc. instead of walking the strip the whole way.

Cut through the Vdara to get to Bellagio -- very short walk.

Depends where you wanted to end up on the strip I guess. We had a south facing corner suite there in July. We used to walk through crystals, by the construction at the Harmon, then into Cosmo, take escalator down to the casino floor by the chandelier bar, then walk out the door next to the bond bar! about 10 mins (ISH) if I didn't stop to throw some dice :)
