Hi gang, just wondering what your thoughts are on what I might expect to pay when asking for the following upgrade.
    Arrive Sept 20th Sunday night.
    6 nights 3comped 3 @ $124 a night Standard room
I would like to get a Corner suite, I see they are going for $100 a night over my rate.
Would I get a better rate? Do I have to pay for all six nights?
Any experience out there to help out?
    Thanks

I'd call your host or VIP services. They can definitely better nail down what to expect regarding the cost of the upgrade. Hope this helps; have fun!

The Aria corner suites are nice but beware the incredibly long walk from the elevators. They have some long hallways at Aria and the corner suite is at the very end.

They normally don't upgrade comps unless you qualify for those upgrades already.

If you want a corner suite, book it and try to get it comped on the back-end through a host at the Aria when you're checking out.

A few years ago, I was on a comp at Aria and they offered me a corner suite for an extra $50/night. I took it and it was a good deal. I've asked for this several times since and they always says it's unavailable. I'm Platinum and have never gotten a free upgrade to a suite there even though that's supposed to be a perk. Like others said if you really want it then pay for it. There are alot of conventions in mid to late September so I definitely wouldn't count an upgrade.

One of the perks of platinum is "Room Upgrade (subject to availability)"

Closer to the elevator, higher floor, better view are all considered upgrades over the standard, basic room. So, you've probably been getting your upgrades, you just didn't realize it.

Problem with an upgrade is the whole 6 nights thing. A couple years ago, I got a 2 night comp room and was able to upgrade to a corner suite for $60/night. It was well worth it, but it was two weeknights. 6 nights guarantees a weekend night.

If you can get an upgrade, the corner suite is totally worth it.
