A little late on the report but that's okay. My original pre-plan was here. I stuck somewhat to it. We arrived at the Aria around 2:30 in the afternoon. Check in was a zoo and backed up beyond belief with a few of the guests including myself getting a little frustrated. But we were gently reminded check in really wasn't until 3:00 so they were doing their best to get us all into our rooms and that was fine. We lucked out with a room on the 53rd floor about two down from the elevator and about 5 away from the ice machine. We could see the LINQ wheel at the far side and all the way down to Mandalay Bay the other way with the mountains in the background and views of planes taking off every 10 minutes. It really was gorgeous. I realized a day into the trip they ripped down that tarped eye sore tower where the walkway is out of Crystals and that really opened up the view. My wife wanted to soak in the tub when we got there so I ventured our for supplies and picked up some beer, twisted teas, water and snacks. We wen to KA that night. I recommend it. It's not too long the fire arrows, the stage and the story made it pretty enjoyable. 4th row compliments of My Vegas. I drank those twisted teas along with alot more and got pretty wrecked. Lost $100 on video poker at the Aria afterwards. My wife pulled my card out of the machine and said you just threw away two flushes idiot time for bed. So we did with the jet lag and the booze we were both pretty wiped out. We grabbed pizza slices at the Five 50 and watched some kid in his 20's try to maneuver two hookers. If you are going to be a hooker why dress like a hooker and why drop the fbomb in a busy place and make a spectacle of yourself. I guess it was free entertainment. The next day brought a breakfast at that boot bar at Planet Hollywood at the bottom of the street escalator. PBR or something. It was alright. Typical strip, $50 for bacon and eggs and a couple of Bloody Mary's. We headed up to Caesars as we never made it there on our first trip. I laid some sports bets for myself and a few for friends for Christmas presents. We were too early for the show by about 20 minutes and didn't feel like hanging around. From there we went to the LINQ to check out the classic cars. We had free coupons. Nice cars but I probably would not have paid the $9 to get in otherwise. The JFK limo was cool. From there we check out the Flamingos and grabbed a few drinks. Not much to see there really. We had a MyVegas bogo drink at the Hexx Bar which was nice. There were pretty busy with only one bartender so it took awhile to get our drinks. From there we went over to the Bellagio to do the Christmas scene. After that we went back to Aria. I went in the hot tub and my got her feets looked after in the Spa. Said it was the best she has ever had and she wanted to go back everyday. Here are two guys that were rolling massive amounts of weed on the walkway out of the Bellagio. Pretty much at the street. They didn't care much so I took a photo. The night time brought a trip the RIO to do the Zipline and see Penn and Teller. We did the dinner buffet at the Mirage compliments of MyVegas. I didn't take too many pictures here. I hated the Zipline. I don't like heights. Penn and Teller were pretty good. We sat dead centre in the 4th row of the balcony. Really perfect seats to see everything. After the show we took a cab back to Aria and played slots for a bit before heading to bed. The next day was my birthday day. We went to the Mirage all you can drink beer breakfast compliments of MyVegas. Swallowed about four bud lights to get the fuzz off. We then headed down to the TaylorMade Golf Experience with a groupon for range balls, cart, two 9hole rounds and two beers. The course really wasn't as bad as I expected. Just a short Par 3 with Jets buzzing by your head. It didn't take long, The beer was good and we grabbed some food there. We watched the Vikings - Arizona game at TAP MGM that night for dinner. I had my Peterson Jersey on and my wife had a Vikings Tee on. We sat behind two Arizona fans who were in their 50's. They never once smiled or said good game. They cheered everytime an Arizona player picked their balls on the sideline and turned red and mad everytime the Vikings did something. They were both dick heads. Alot of other fans we met while I had my jersey on were funny and joked around. One thing though is that the Sports Book at MGM which is right outside TAP is about 45 seconds ahead on the tv's then the bar so you always knew something was going to happen before it did. Kind of annoying. We left at half time. We went skating at the Cosmopolitan with a groupon. It was okay but the fun lasted about 15 minutes. They were playing fun music and you could get drinks. There were lots of cowboys that couldn't skate. We are from Canada and both play hockey so it made us smile a bit. Too many kids though and we were out of there and headed over to the Paris and did the Eiffel Tower. One note about the Cosmopolitan. They must be having hard times keeping up the washrooms on the Casino Floor. It was strange that you had 5 rich Persian kids in their 20's all lined up to go into the same bathroom stall when the rest of the bathroom was empty. They were okay they had some sketchy dude that seemed to be making sure they got in and out of the stall in an orderly fashion so I have to assume they were in good hands.:confused2: After this we walked back through the Bellagio and went back to the Aria. Wife went to bed eventually and I played video blackjack. Cashed out with a $100 ticket which probably made me even for the slots loss before that. We really had no luck this trip at all. Next day we had the breakfast buffet at Aria compliments of MyVegas. It really is a top notch buffet except for having to order drinks and coffee. I find that strange. We rented a car and headed to the Hoover Dam. We didn't do the tour there we just snapped some photos and walked up on the bridge. From there we went to the South Outlet Mall which was kind of a letdown. The store were small and didn't have much of a selection. We didn't stay long before heading out. We stopped in at the Pinball Museum before heading back. It was kind of cool seeing all of the old pinball game from when I was a kid. The night time was my personal favourite. Fremont St. Stared it off with a Scorpion Shot and Beer at Nacho Daddy's. Nice place. The bartender called me out for not eating the scorpion but to hell with that. From there they had a Who Lightshow on. We watched a few of the bands and checked out the Shark Tank at the Nugget. I then played some $5 Craps at the Golden Gate where they were all dressed up as old time gangsters. It was a hoot. Lost about $40. Then played some $3 Craps at The Fremont and made my $40 back. It was my first time playing Craps. I loved it but it takes a long time to get a game going with all of the betting. My wife got bored so we headed out and watched bands for the rest of the night. I threw the street performers money for the pictures I took. The next day our flight didn't leave until 11:30 pm. The ARIA was nice enough to let us check out at 1:00. They were booked solid with the cowboys and the people that came in to see a 13 second fight. We just toured the strip and had lunch on the HEXX patio. That is some good entertainment. We sat right at the sidewalk and it was a people watching experience extraordinaire. Note it was December and we ate between 1:30 to 2:30. The Cosmo completely blocked the sun out and it was cool sitting in the shade. Might be good for a hot day but not on a coll day. https://vid.me/e/dxR5?stats=1&tools=1 Went back to Aria. Had two hours before we had to get to the airport. Played my $100 ticket into a video blackjack machine. Went up to about $150. Down to $6. Back to $110. Down to $10. Back to $60 before I lost it all. Nice note to leave on. Thanks for looking. Tonight my wife who said that was our last trip to Vegas for awhile says, I really miss that bed at Aria. Then a couple of hours later she says, I miss just walking up and down the strip and Fremont St not having a care in the world. I smiled because I know now we will be back soon.
