Ok I am looking at similar dates between third-party websites and Mlife in which Aria is $80 and MGM Executive Queen suite is $65.

MGM: I would like to try Emeril's. And I have been a little interested in trying out MGM for awhile. I would love to check out Hakkasan during the week. I am quite interested in trying out the pool, especially the dayclub in the summer. I snapped up the $65 rate because it looked ridiculously amazing 2 weeks ago and now it's back to $134+ for the same dates.

ARIA: I have also been a little interested in trying out Aria. I am not sure of anything interesting at Aria except perhaps the spa and being adjacent to Bellagio (and proximity to my beloved Cosmo) but I like the feel. Staying at Aria puts me closer to mid-strip vibe. I am also connected to Monte Carlo which is fair.

Note: MGM is refundable and Aria is non-refundable, so I want to make the decision soon!

I am still mulling over it, but what do you guys/ladies think?

Wife and I did Aria MDW 2011 and loved it. The pools are great (patrons only, did not do Liquid).

Visited friends who were staying at MGM this past July while we were out there and their pools rank above Aria's personally. More room and pools with tons of chairs available. We did get 2 cabanas with a $400 per f&b commit for that day.

Wet Republic at MGM is great. Saw Laidback Luke there this past July. Opens up in March according to their webpage. On Fridays this past summer they had the Hot 100 contest and people could sign up for free entry before I believe 2 PM on their website so you may want to keep an eye out for that. They also have another link to just their guestlist but I am not sure what perks that gives you. I'll assume just free entry on another line.

Thanks for the info kps. This makes me happy because the deal on hotwire for Aria is already sold out. :( Maybe one day.

I had an executive queen at Halloween...I loved it. You are only 2 doors down from the elevator and plenty of room :) I was traveling with the MIL and so had to have a 2 queen room. I would do a king executive with the hubby in a heartbeat. Our dates in April are cheaper at Monte Carlo so going there next trip. We had a great meal at Avenue 24....our hottest slots were the dollar ones right outside the elevators. Have a great time.

It's probably $15 extra or something.. my parents stayed in one and the most horrible view of the roof ahha. Might be worth it to pay for a view.

Darn! Keep checking. Heads up 5 star south can be a large number of things.. not just Aria. (Bellagio, Vdara, 4 Seasons, Mandarin).

But I can't think of a reason I'd skip Aria for MGM. Ever. MGM is fine, but it's so big, and the lines are long, the cabs and the parking a pain. It's not usually my first choice. Even though everything is updated...

I forgot about the view. We were on a low floor facing ( Ha Ha) the strip. We saw the tops of NYNY and MC...total roof view for us. May be better if you can score a higher floor. If you are facing east it will probably be even worse.

Yes I would like to know the same thing. I got one booked for May. Don't see anything about upgrading to a view on the site.

Does anyone know where these rooms are located?

I have never stayed at MGM Should I just ask for a view on a high floor?

    Thanks
