Headed to vegas Jan 13-17. Will be staying at NYNY, but have to pop in to Aria to redeem a voucher from my last trip that I forgot to cash. I'm wondering if it will be worth my time to play there for awhile on the 16th when their Spin to Win promo starts.

From the e-mail it say 1500 Session Points = $50 - $5000 in FP with a spin.. I play almost all slots so it looks like this would be $4500 coin-in not including my platinum bonus. Doesn't seem like it would be that hard to get a spin and get a little FP.

Is the return on this a better option for my BR than the Stache for Cash which is a pull card for every 250 points?

    Thanks for any input..

Wish the Aria Promo was going when I was there last weekend, I would of gotten some of my money back :(.

Won't be hard to play that through, but I would really just stick around the casino I stay in, and not play for the comps.

My last trip in December I stayed at Monte Carlo. Earned 27 Stache for Cache pull tabs and won a grand total of - drum roll please - $15 in free play!

The lady at the MLife desk grace me a pair of the silly glasses with the mustache. My granddaughter got them at Christmas, thought it was a hoot!

    Good luck with either choice!

If you really wanted to calculate the return, you'd have to know what the average prize of both promos is.

I assume both are based on Base points, which are $3 coin in per (no Tier bonus % multiplier applies to Base points).

So it's $750 coin-in for the Stache for Cash pull tab, and $4,500 for the Aria promo.

Just for comparison, figure a 10% hold.

So your expected cost for a NYNY pulltab is $75 and for an Aria spin is $450.

Use Piggylane's example of 27 pull tabs = $15 = about 50 cents per pull tab.

Figure Aria's minimum (and probably most common) prize of $50.

    NYNY: 50 cents divided by $75 = 0.0067% return
    Aria: $50 divided by $450 = 11% return

I don't know how much you play per spin, but $4,500 coin-in could take a while. It would take me the better part of a day, because one thing I wouldn't do is up the denom in order to hit the mark faster.

Lol, it would depend on how many drinks I've had to know if my denom would be high enough to make it happen. After a few drinks I usually get bold enough hit $5 slots ($15 per spin). Which seems with a few hits I could get there somewhat quickly. I wouldn't play FOR the comp, but I figure if I'm going to play anyways, I might as well get the best promo available.

Couldn't find a link, but I copied the email I received.

This isn't even close. The stache is horrible. I've gotten around 50 pull tabs and I think I'm up to 35 dollars (7 winners all at 5 dollars). Just 1 spin at Aria beats that. The worst part is I earned another 15 this week and went up to get them and they said it's blacked out during the holiday week from Christmas to NYE. Your play doesn't count towards them that week. I didn't read the fine print. It's not like I'm playing for the cards but with a promotion this bad, blackout dates seem pointless.

Looks like you have to be staying at Aria to qualify for this --we will be at the Mirage at this time --if you can just go play at Aria then it would be fantastic--but from reading the rules it doesn't seem so

We played in their slot tournament in October that had this spin to win option. A couple of things to keep in mind from my experience:

    1) these are session points only. So, if you are a platinum and get a 50% bonus on points, it does not count for this promo. The session points are the points that it shows on the screen before they add back in your tier status points.

    2) Any of the "specialty" slots did not accrue points for this promo. If it had the Zarkana symbol on the screen, it would not accrue points for the promo. This means almost all of the newer games and none of the progressive games were eligible for this promotion.

Again, this is my experience from October and they may have changed the rules since then.

I was actually going to fly out to Vegas just for the Aria spin days. Good thing I called my host 1st. The mailer isnt misleading, but they should have underlined the session points. Its my understanding, and the host confirmed to the best of her ability, that each session begins and end at one machine. So you;d have to earn those 1500 points (thousands of dollars played through) on that machine before you could get the bonus spin. If you earned 1400 points, roughly $14K played through on a specialty machine, you would get nothing.

The stache was shit, but at least I could go from machine to machine all day long before getting my tabs.
