Anyone going to the $130K Slot Tourney in April at ARIA? Anyone been before? What are the normal accommodations? Worth doing?

Doesn't seem to be a terrible structure especially with only 50 pple.

    Thanks for the replies.

@Jaxx - I didn't get an invite but I can tell you this. The prize pool tends to be "Top Heavy" meaning the top 10 get most of the money, and in the end it all comes down to luck as they will combine 3 slot sessions to come up with your best score. These tournaments can be a good value and really, it's just another way to get you to come in and gamble for a few days. You will almost always end up with some free play depending on where you place. The casino likes them because you are kind of forced to stick around the casino because you have to arrive to pull for your session like 15 minutes before hand, and they will spread the times out so normally you'll pull in the afternoon one day, then in the morning the next day and in the afternoon again. Then, you will have to wait until the tournament is over and they compile the scores to get your prize. There always used to be an awards banquet at the end, but now they usually just distribute the prices at the club booth or the cashier.

If your already thinking of a trip to vegas during that time frame, go for it! you may enjoy it and win some money at the same time.

With only 50 people, it will not be posted anywhere. And, the invite list will not be to the masses. Guessing you have a buy in? Recently got an invite to limited tournament at Aria. See notes below.

It's a $2,000 buy in with only 128 people. You play head to head against just 1 person. Win and move on to the next bracket for higher cash and freeplay prizes. Just like the NCAA March Madness Basketball Tournament. No need to worry about several hundred other contestants, just the person sitting right next to you. Very exciting and a lot of fun, not to mention serious prize awards to be won in several different ways!

No buy in on the $130K, I got the same MM invite you did, just not worth buying in on something like that, IMO.

The $130K is top heavy, only top 4 have any real value. The rest of the players get $250FP.

Thursday/Friday. Register and cocktail reception. Saturday is the tourney.

    1st- $25k cash &$50k FP
    2nd- $25k FP
    3rd- $10k FP
    4th- $5k FP
    5th-50th $250 FP
