Has your waitress ever done this to ???
Was in the Aria gambling in this one area of slots...Doing pretty darn good. Had this one waitress bringing me cocktails (Crown and Coke). I was tipping her pretty good with each drink that was delivered. Got down to were I would only be about half way thru my drink and she would bring me another...Let me tell you I was there for a long time playing and drinking...She brought me another. I took a slip or two and thought....wow..did they forget the Crown ??? Well my son had happen to come by, so I asked him to taste it. He agreed with me that there was no booze in it. A short time later my waitress came by and asked if I would like another...I said Yes please...if I can get one with Booze in it !! She then said..Oh I sorry they must have forgot to add it....she also said that her shift was up and she was heading for Home and to have a good evening/morning. I tipped her once again (a 20 this time) and thanked her for the good service. She brought me my last drink or should I say 2 drinks...Both Doubles..!! WOW...they were Strong.
She told me that she would let the new girl know about me and what I was drinking. Well the new girl came by and asked if I wanted a drink? I told her yes Please... a crown and coke please..she then said "Oh your the one the other sever told me about" She said "Boy can you drink." She left and came back with my drink...It was slow at that time..Like 4 in the morning and we stated chatting and i told her about how the one time I had a drink without Booze...The new gal started laughing. She then told me that's one of the tests to see if your too drunk... And told me that I passed the test and that she could keep severing me.
The Next day I saw that first gal.. She asked how I was feeling that day ??? Told her I was feeling just fine thank you !! She then stated that "Boy Can You Drink!' I than told her that the other girl told me about her trick that she tried to pull to see if I had too many....I thanked her for looking out for my well being...she left and came back with a double for me and smiled and said have a good day and good Luck gambling.

So has anything like this Happen to you ???

Didnt exactly go down like that.

After all day of drinking and generally being a nusiance the dealer told me to watch my language. I told to go f herself.

Next thing I know I was levitated towards the door by two strapping fellows.

Threw me out onto the curb and told me to go f myself.

My takeaway from this is to always ask for a drink with booze in it.

What do they do if you're drinking beer? Bring you an O'Doul's and see if you notice?

My wife was a bartender and still fills in from time to time on weekends. She has told me stories about bartenders doing this but not exactly the reason these girls stated. She propbably wasnt really looking out for you. It is more likely since you were tipping, she figured after serving you for so long it wouldnt be long before you were to drunk and out of the game. Hence no more tips from a good tipper. So they start serving you drinks with little to no alcohol figuring you were to drunk to notice and the caffeine with no to little alcohol might keep you there longer while still serving drinks and getting the tips. Then if caught and complained to about it, they use the excuse they gave you. Maybe they were really concerned waitresses in vegas that are looking out for other people but odds are they were just concerned about making as much money that night as they could.

I am a beer replacement specialist by trade. There are many tricks and tests we learn to determine if someone is overserved. I had to take an online course at my last job through the state. Our insurance company demanded all bartenders take the class for a reduced rate on our insurance. Bar insurance is very difficult to obtain. One of the most used ways to slow you down is called pacing. If you seem to be having a hard time getting your bartenders attention after a while to get a drink, they are probably pacing your drinks. Taking extra time to get to you to slow down your drinking. Your bartender may not be slow or a bad bartender...you may be bombed. LOL:drunk:

yup! Make up some kinda story as to why you had to pour it in a mug for them, they don't care...they"re drunk. I don't do it to see if they're too drunk though. I do it to cut them off. lol.

Great story! Personally I've never had any problems, that I know of lol

Couple trips ago we did have a waitress at Cromwell that was rapid firing the wife and I beers quicker than we could drink them, all you have to do tip and be friendly.

It is nice of her to look out for you but how dishonest. id rather an honest open up front test. give me a math test. hell give me a breathalyzer and when i reach a certain amount cut me off. but to go behind someones back and pour a non booze drink is absurd. . If i am tipping well and she pulls that on me, id ask for my tip back. (jokingly of course) then id go somewhere else out of her serving zone.

Lucky you. So far most of my mixed drinks have all been pretty weak no matter what casino I go to. I've been sticking to beer here lately.

But, I'd go with them looking out for you. Hey, you're on vacation. Booze it up good.
