Are Vegas comps based on local play?

I am now getting offers of $300 slot play every month at Vegas. Do you know if these are based on my local play (Council Bluffs and Kansas City) or is it just the play I've done in Vegas that they look at? I usually play locally (if you can call it that-both are around 3 hours away) 2 or 3 times a month. But I'm contemplating skipping the local casinos and make the trip to Vegas every 6-8 weeks. I figure if my airfare is less than $300, then the trip is free, kind of. If I reduce my locat play, do you think it will affect my Vegas offers?

If you are talking about Caesars properties they SAY they look at each market separately--in other words your offers in LV are based on your play there, not in local markets.

I don't think it is that unusual for people to play at a lower level in locals markets and high in LV. I probably have 1/3 the average bet in Reno/Tahoe or San Diego versus LV and it does not seem to impact my LV offers.

You do have an overall ADT rating throughout the CET system, though, and I always wonder if I would be better off not playing at all outside LV.

It's probably a combo of both. But if you cut back on your local play and focus on Vegas, as long as your play is consistent, you will most likely get similar offers. They are looking at the quality of play at each trip more than sheer volume.

As a long time Diamond from Tunica... early on I got good offers for Vegas. After some visits there with not so high play, they dropped off. I still get good local offers, but Vegas is somewhat limited to rooms and little freeplay. They hvae learned I do not give them much in Vegas.
