I can't find a good price flight right now! Most of them are almost double what i usually spend,, unless i want to have stops and even those are more expensive. I know some of the normal airline tricks like when to check fares and checking oneways but are there any tips for flights to Vegas that are good??

Prices have jumped recently. I just ended up using miles for a first-class ticket to Vegas this weekend. I hate wasting miles on domestic first-class since its such a joke but with coach costing $1000 taking first with miles was a better value and I have a ton of them.

Sometimes you can gamble and wait until close to the date to book but so far this isn't a good summer to make that bet. If you're within a few weeks out just book. If you have miles right now you're getting a better than usual conversion rate on most flights so that's an option.

Avoid flying to Vegas on Friday and leaving on Sundays flights from Vegas on Sundays are often 2-4x higher then on other days.

Check several times a day, and be flexible with dates and days of the week. Try brokers too. I fly Southwest and have often found deals late sunday nights but others say Wednesdays. You have to do the legwork.

Alligiant Air usually has cheap flights. I check often because they change their fares often. I booked a round trip flight from Appleton Wisconsin for $300 with one bag.
