For 2016 are there 'same day' tournaments, on the strip, where if you play a certain dollar amount, you qualify for a slot tournament that day?
I know MSS does this downtown, but what about the strip?
I saw posts last year - 2015 - that Wynn/Encore and Venetian/Palazzo did them, but haven't seen anything yet this year.

And if so, are the prizes in free play, cash, buffets?

We will be playing in an invited slot tournament in March and thought it might be fun to try some different places on the strip if they have 'daily' tournaments.

    TIA!

Thanks for that info! - just got back - I missed the one at Harrah's. Good to know for our next trip.

I also found one at Venetian/Palazzo - runs Mon-Friday also, for every 750 points earned from 4:30 am to about 4:30 pm can play in one 3 minute session, up to 4 sessions max per day (earn 3000 points to play 4 times).

Iirc, the Harrah's tourney runs from 11a to 1p and you need to earn 10 TC ($50 coin-in slots/$100 VP) to play.

Palazzo is running one now. Not sure how long it lasts, though.

Whatever happened to the one Aria had. You used to hear about it all the time, especially when you could get entry into it from myVegas. Do they not have that anymore?

Do they still do the one in the Margaritaville in the Flamingo? I thought I read that they even had it on Sat/Sun. Can anyone confirm?

The machines are still up at Margaritaville - However I left on Friday so not sure if they are currently running it.

In April at Harrahs you could earn 3 entries - had to earn a certain number of points at Harrahs, Cromwell & Linq in order to get all 3 entries. Prize structure & times still the same.

For harrahs, new total reward members receive a free entry, and current members have to earn 10 tier credits at cromwell, 15 tier credits at harrahs or 20 tier credits at the linq. 3 chances to win. Tournament is monday through friday from 11am-2pm at harrahs.

I think it cost 4 dollars to earn one tier credit or is it 5? I am not exactly sure. I am going to vegas on june 22nd and is for sure planning a trip uptown either on the thursday or the friday. and I wonder if harrahs has good slots to choose from and the konami nickle machines I like to play that has a minimum bet of a dollar a spin?

The Aria slot tourney was only a temporary promotion.

For CET it's $5/Tier Credit for slots. $10/Tier Credit for VP.

The differing requirement for tier credits is interesting. Does this suggest the relative gaming health of the three properties? Is Cromwell hurting and Linq doing better?

Thank you. and I do not know if a certain property is hurting or not. I know LINQ has that big machine they put in a couple years ago that is very hot and is the only casino on the strip that has it, so that is probably helping them big time and plus they renovated everything as well there.
