Anyone stayed at Aquarius in Laughlin? Any opinions on Laughlin Hotels? Stayed at Golden Nugget last time (stop on way to Vegas) but it is $60 higher than Aquarius on a Friday night, so wonder if it was truly that much better. Trip Advisor ranks it above Golden Nugget.

The Aquarius is one of the nicer hotels in town. It has high ceilings and a good ventilation system to make it less smoky. I think Harrah's is nicer but I prefer this place because it's location makes it easy to casino hop.

I can't speak to the rooms but it is generally my most frequent stop for gambling when I am in Laughlin. I am a fan of the casino.

Very nice hotel, spacious and clean. Harrahs is ok but not in walking distance. Riverside is cheaper sometimes but it is not as clean as I would like. The staff leaves something to be desired as well.

I note that most of the responses so far are talking about the casino, not the hotel. I think as far as the rooms go for Aquarius vs GN, they at about similar quality. The Aquarius rooms were renovated a few years ago, but the GN rooms might be more comfortable. The Aquarius hotel is two large towers many with great views of the river, while the GN is a small hotel. I wouldn't pay $60 more for either one over the other. The two hotels are probably the best 2 hotels for rooms in town.

It has been many years, maybe 15, since I have stayed at Aquarius, but if I remember correctly, it was the last new hotel built in Laughlin. Back then it was the Flamingo. They also were the last in Laughlin to upgrade their rooms. I also think they have the largest casino in terms of square footage, but I could be wrong. Last time I was there the had full pay 9/6 at the V/P bar which was nice. I really believe you will not find a bigger casino, and maybe the GN has nicer rooms, but I doubt any other place there will. The main drawback to really any of the Laughlin hotels is that they are all fairly old by now, and the rooms are like your standard 350sqft box with a tub/shower, a flat screen and a desk. Modern boring is the going theme. As long as you are not expecting anything fancy or creative, they are great.
