I haven't finished making my plans coming to vegas, will I get better room prices now or should I wait to the trip gets closer to book my room?

The general rule of thumb is if you can afford the deposit now, book now as long as its a reservation that can be canceled without penalty up to 72 hours before.

When you book straight through hotels (except some of their packages), you get the above flexibility. And its great to lock in that rate, as you can always switch if something better comes up.

If you're doing an online reseller or discounter and it can't be canceled, I would not book until your dates are 100%

Depending on when you go in April, I would say now though. If early April, remember, there is a huge broadcasters convention at that time as well as the Country music awards. It can get busy and pricey at that time!
