So, I have a fairly large collection of strip and downtown chips dating back to the early 80s. I'm looking to expand my collection.

Does anyone know if there are any shops or stores in LAS that sell obsolete chips from the 40s-70s?

Also, does anyone know if they have any casino chip get togethers in LAS where you can buy/sell/trade? (Kind of like the silver strike get togethers)

Thanks in advance fellow VMBers. Any/all help is greatly appreciated.

Btw, if you have any old LAS strip or downtown chips that you'd like to sell go ahead and shoot me a pm and maybe we can work out a deal.

Hi Mike,I am a member of the Casino Chip and Gaming Token Collectors Club.Every summer they have thier convention in Las Vegas.I am member #R-8142

For daily chatter about chip collecting and such, please take a look at this site which is really the unofficial site of the CC+GTCC,That message board is mostly about club business.

There are some stores in LV that sell chips but it is my understanding they may be overpriced and you may be better off buying from one of the sellers here.
In any case introduce yourself to the board, share photos of your collection if you like.and ask any questions you have. Good Luck collecting!!

P.S. There is a local club (Southern Nevada Casino Collectibles Club) that meet in the Gold Coast. Not sure if they have one scheduled around your trip however,

Here is a link to thier May meeting info

Spinettis is the go to place in LV for what your looking for.

Otherwise as the poster above said, those forums are great places to find chips if you already know what you are lookin for.
