Only reason I'm asking is that for some reason its $5 more expensive for my rental when using my fastbreak id instead of just renting it without a member ID.

I'm happy to pay $5 to skip the line but I heard that fastbreak at mcarran can be a real PITA.

    Anyone with recent experiences?

Just wanted to give a heads up that budget fastbreak is totally worth it. When we arrived there were a good 20 people in the main line. Fastbreak let us go straight down to pick up there car. We were in and out in 5 minutes.

Fastbreak is offered for free if you sign up for it online before renting the vehicle. Only catch is that in order to keep fastbreak service on your account, you need to rent 3 times a year from any budget locations.

can you use fast break the very first time you rent from budget?

I read somewhere that you have to use the counter the first time so they have your signature on file.

I just rented a car from Budget at LAS last week.
After reading reviews on this site, yelp and trip advisor I was pretty worried about how it would go.
Gotta tell you and everyone on here, the entire experience was AMAZING.
    I didn't use Fastbreak.
Landed at LAS at 8 pm on Saturday night.
Got to facility on the shuttle by 8:30.
No line. Right up to friendly clerk. Asked me once if I wanted the extra coverage and I declined.
    No hassles beyond that.
He looked over which cars were available and put me in a brand new Chevy Cruze - had 300 miles on it.
Rented the car through Orbitz. Total with all fees for 5 days - $118.
Returned 5 days later at 5 am. Check in took 2 minutes (Had two guys waiting in the return line to check in) and on the shuttle in another 2 minutes.
Contrary to everything I read about this Budget location, this ended up being the best car rental experience I've ever had.
I would recommend this location to anyone.
