Does anyone have an update on the construction at the Quad? We are planning on going Oct 27th and hoping the construction is getting near completion. Is the parking structure open? Any info would be great, Thanks

I was there last week and the parking gharage was closed, but that could have been due to the river running through it. I must say it is looking much nicer in the casino, and from what I could tell looked close to opening all the way up again.

The Quad is coming along nicely, the actual wheel is almost completed, however, there is still a long way to go. The Wheel when completed, still needs the viewing boxes that will take people around the wheel. The shopping, bowling, and dining areas will more than likely have a soft opening late fall, meaning some dining and shopping areas will open, with the completion of whole project around late winter/early spring. The Quad hotel still has some major work to be done on the outside. What i would do is park at Harrah's or maybe Caesars. The Quad and Ganesvoort will still be a mess for awhile.
I will be there in Nov. to check on the progress. In the meantime, i follow the 24/7 webcam:

I think the OP was referring to the Quad Hotel and Casino.

I too like watching the progress to Linq.

Yeah, sorry. I think of the Wheel, dining, and shopping as the major renovations to the Quad even though they are outside. I was in Vegas less than a month ago and the casino was almost done. But until they do something with the rooms, the Quad will only be an attraction on the exterior IMO. There is nothing in the Quad casino that will make me wanna stay. Walking past the Quad was what most of us were doing.

It's simply lipstick on a pig.

The rooms should have been renovated first. It's been the #1 complaint about the property for years now.

Thanks to all for the info.
I know it sounds crazy but we have stayed at the IP most of the time and last December stayed at Mirage and wished we still were at IP. Go figure.

It looks like we will be arriving on November 10th so I guess there will be even more finished by then. Any idea on temps around that time of year?

The average high for the month of November is 67 degrees. The average low is 47 degrees.

Any idea as to when the rooms will be started?

As far as I am aware the only reference to actually renovating the rooms was a vague comment in an annual report.

Nothing has been confirmed (that I can find). If it does happen, my GUESS, is it will be late Q1 2014 or Q2...in time for the summer.

    Found this on VegasChatter

"So, what about those rooms? Beats us. While Caesars Entertainment execs have talked about room upgrades for The Quad on a quarterly earnings call and have raised The Quad's resort fees already, too, no official announcements regarding a room remodel have been released."
