I’m not taking the 7* Event this year because either I didn’t care for the venue or the dates didn’t work out for me. So in place I get nothing. Pretty raw deal. I think they should offer something for those that can't make any of them.

Correction: Updated: Should be Event not the Experience

I read on another thread that a host gave the player free play since they were in the same boat as you.

I think your are referring to the 7 star events (not experiences). I went with a cruise this year. There were about 6 different cruise dates to choose from. Otherwise, you had weekends in Vegas or Tahoe. Lots of choices.

Yes, you're right, the Event not the experience. There were five, the may mean lots to you but to me there were some. I could have went on a two of them solo, but that would not have worked for me.

I'm not going to make any of the 7 stars events. The cruises sound nice but the dates just didn't work.

Hunter did make it clear that a double dip is allowed on the LV 7 stars event later this month, which is great--but CET never made it clear that free play was involved with that event in the first place! An email just arrived 2 days ago (for an event in 2 weeks) offering free play--but not the double dip--which almost makes it seem like CET corporate doesn't want you to bother going. If they would have clearly offered free play + a double dip with another offer months ago as they should have, I would have planned to be there.

Almost certainly, the poster whose "host made it up to him" just booked him in on an existing offer with free play but did NOT add free play/double dip to an existing offer. If that is not correct I would love to hear about it, but that is just not how CET works.

When I called about the 7 stars event in Vegas, I was only offered rooms at ballys/flamingo/Harrahs/rio and show tickets to jubilee or Veronica voices. I thought that was pretty crappy since I usually stay at Caesars and I was hoping for tickets to Britney spears or shania twain. I'm glad I went with the cruise.

This is what my email said. It did not say anything about stacking free play with your monthly casino play. I am curious to know how they arrived at the free play offer here. Others I know have been offered $350.00, $500.00 and $1000.00.

I was offered $350 or $400 in FSP. My feelings are the same as oghuman. I made Seven Stars in July and wasn't game for going to Tahoe in August as I was going to be in VEGAS in August. The Vegas October trip seemed lame from the beginning and ALL of the cruises for the fall have been SOLD OUT since I became Seven Stars in July. Very slim pickings. For my birthday trip my host bumped up my FSP significantly and unsolicited, in part I believe because my last few trips to Vegas or AC had been heavy playing trips but the marketing offers still reflected a much lower level of play.

I will be in Vegas for 9 days at the end of they year and will use a few offers then. I hope increased FSP is included in one of them to reflect the fact that my options for Seven Star event trips were very limited.

My first time as a 7 Star was in 2006 when Caesars Palace was just brought into the HET family. I did over 10k tier points there in January after being assured that the system had been changed over and I would receive the points on my Total Rewards card. Well, that didn't happen. After fighting and fighting with them about it I ended up getting some of the points, but not all (WTF?!), but it was many months later. I would have been 7 Stars in May had my January play been credited properly, but I didn't get there until June. The 7 Stars event that year was in MAY, of course, so I missed it. And then they never did get it together enough to have one in 2007! That was just one of MANY, MANY disappointments about being 7 Stars back then -- there was so much I didn't bother to even try going for it in subsequent years (gave my play to other places and just kept diamond at HET).

This year, I was pretty close after playing there during nine days, so I decided to finish it off. I got the points two weeks ago and yesterday (after a couple emails to my host) was finally given 7 Stars status again just in time for my trip this weekend.

I'm already booked during the 7 Stars event weekend on the All Treats No Tricks drawing offer (that is part of the event) with $700 free play, so now I'm trying to find out if I would be able to participate in the event and what else I would qualify for that weekend. What I've seen so far isn't too impressive.

I'm hoping for good things this time around. I guess only time will tell!
