I'm thinking about doing this invitational slot tourney at M Resort on Feb 8-10. I've received invites for their slot, VP, and poker tourneys in the past, but never took them up on it. You get a room for 3 nights and only have to play for two 10 minute sessions.

I guess my question is what kind of turn out do they usually have for these and do they feed you or give you any free play or match plays when you check in?

    Thanks

I have been to a few of them and will be at the Feb. one as well. The turnout is usually pretty heavy, so you have to have a very good score to win any money or freeplay (I seem to do horribly everytime which just kills me because Im usually kinda lucky). You do not get any freeplay/match plays but you do get free drinks and usually a small gift when you check in for the tournament. The 3 free nights is a nice comp though. Also, like you said its nice that the sessions are a quick 10 mins.

I've played in a couple of these. The comped rooms are the biggest value.

If you have decent coin-in, the "second chance" draw has a much higher EV than the main tournament (if they're still doing this, check the rules). I hit for $1K on second chance last January.

My spouse and I did a tournament and won a second chance drawing. (Much, much more that what you received) I guess that when you play on your winnings, it's not registered on your play totals. Even if you use a lot of your own money added in.
