We're going on a long trip to Vegas (end of June/beginning of July) and my husband & dad wonder if there is any fun fishing in Vegas to do one of the days. I know it's a longshot, but any info is appreciated.

There's a great fishing hole at South point. Sorry- I can't post pictures here, and the directions read like Greek to me.

That seems like a great deal to me and something different and away from the crowds.

If it's for 2 people, it's only $175 per person. That's for pick up from your strip hotel, transportation to Lake Mead, boat and expertise, all equipment and it's a 6 hour excursion.

If it's for 4 people, it's only $131 per person.

The Colorado River tour for Trophy Striper Bass looks interesting.

I've done a charter out of lake mead

You will need 2 liscense. A general fishing one and a Colorado river one. It was for stripe bass in the summer. Chop up anchovies and drop them to the bottom. Not bad for lake fishing.

You can google any charter for lake mead but most leave very early like 5am

If you have a car, I think Willow Beach would be a better option for fishing than Lake Mead. It's farther but not terribly far. Also, if you rent a boat there and take it up the river through Black Canyon, you will see some absolutely stunning natural scenery. The boat rental prices are pretty reasonable there.
