The penguins have a playoff game this Sunday at 12 EST. We are going to be downtown and was wondering if there is a good place to catch the game.

I can only asume that just about any of the sportsbook or any sports bar would carry it

777 Brew Pub @ Main Street Station. Lots of tvs, have watched lots of sports there. You can ask the servers or bartender to turn it to the game you want

I second the 777 suggestion. I think the beer quality an surroundings are better than a sports book, unless you want to hit one of the larger Strip books. Second on my list for downtown would be Benny's Bullpen at Binion's. I would choose Benny's if you want to smoke a cigar, nice little cigar stand nearby. Otherwise I think it's just average.

Whooohoooo! Go Pens!! I'm hoping we have the first round in the bag by the time we get to Vegas on the 10th!
The game Sunday will be at 9 am out there, hopefully there wont be a lot of competition to get the tv's turned to the game.

Not so fast. I don't think it's going to be as easy as you think. Go [IMG]

Thanks for the suggestion. We have brunch scheduled later in the day on the strip so a beer breakfast at 777 while watching the Pens sounds like a plan to me.

I think it might be a residency requirement that you have to love the Pens in Pittsburgh and of course the Steelers too. With the Pirates we are given leave to be fair weather fans.

I'd suggest Long Bar at the D. They even carry Molson! Just don't bash on Wings too much :)

Since we will be checking out from the D that morning perhaps the Long Bar would be good.

Does anyone know if 777 is open at 9:00 am. I am assuming it is, but just wanted to confirm.

That Pens game last night was a beatdown...I hope the Pens are still going strong when I get out there on May 26, would like to throw a little money on them while I am out there.
