One of the great old names in Vegas was that downtown place, "The Mint." I've looked all over and can't find any pictures of the inside. Would anybody happen to know of some???

An old friend of mine worked as a security guard at the mint. It was after he got discharged from the service. He was stationed at the lake meade base. He used to talk about that place all the time. Said it was worse than barney Fife. They gave him a gun but no bullets. Said he loved the place though.

Thank you for posting this. I did not even know this place existed. I guess I'm not as old as I thought. ;)

Ah, The Mint! On my first visit to Vegas (we stayed at the Riviera), we walked downtown to the Mint to play $1 blackjack. We each bought in for $20 and played for 8 HOURS before we lost it all! Now, THOSE were the days!!!
