Good places to smoke on/off the strip? Where can you bring your own 'gars w/o getting yelled at?

I usually limit my smoking to when I'm outside walking around FSE.

Sometimes I smoke small cigars that generate less smoke and don't take long to smoke.

I love a good cigar. Hopefully this won't turn into a cigar vs non cigar people thread. The one thing I love about Vegas is you can pretty much smoke anywhere. I really enjoy smoking one in a lounge and I have to say Fremont street is a pleasant stroll with a good stogie.

Mostly walking around, but I do smoke at the Casino Bars, and slot and VP machines....

I will smoke at a crap table because it is easier for me to not bother people but here and other tables I always ask the dealer, patrons at the table before I light up if they mind or not. I always hold the cigar away from the table and try to blow it away as well, paying attention to the wind... IF they air brings it towards dealer I usually stop...

But once I am there and it is lit and people sit down, they saw it.... do I do not worry about the comments after that...

I never once got yelled at...

    It will... :evillaugh

I wish there were benches around, though I know why they do not have em, but I would love to sit outside and people watch having a cigar...

I remember a cigar bar in the Paris streets where I was told you could bring your own stogies. But I was told Fuente wants you to buy there and at elevated prices. Is Fuente worth it just to spend time in their lounge?

I occasionally bring a cigar or two and I don't worry about smoking them inside. Everything smells like smoke anyway, and I only buy quality smokes so they don't tend to stink badly, plus I stick to the smaller sizes as I don't want to be smoking it for hours. I was having one at a BJ table once and the dealer commented that it must have been a very good cigar since she couldn't smell it. I was standing and holding it and blowing it away from the table though so maybe that was it.

Casa Fuente is a great place to sit, have a drink, and smoke some really good (expensive/overpriced) cigars. I will splurge on a Casa Fuente Toro and bring one of my own for seconds (usually Oliva V). My wife loves the specialty drinks and we have a great relaxing time. It is also tucked away so you don't feel like you're in a casino. It has good ventilation as well.

Another option is sitting in one of the high-roller areas, I love the Wynn, they usually have chairs or couches and some have TVs. A great place to stretch out and smoke. Pool Cabanas are another options.

    Hope this helps.

Off topic, but can you get them "comped" when your gambling like you can with a drink? I swear ive seen people ask for cigs from cocktail waitresses before..

Well not exactly like when you drink... but you can ask the pit for a cigar (if you are at a place that does this) or use you points for cigars. Worst he can say is no.....

But they aren't just flowing like the drinks.

The Bellagio has a very nice cigar bar. They sell cigars. Couches to sit on. Drinks, too. I used to go to Casa Fuente, but now I prefer the Bellagio.

Some of the places I haved enjoyed cigars in Vegas are at the bartops while playing VP, on the terrace when I stay at Cosmopolitan, while walking the strip at night and at the tables. Like others have said, I generally ask the dealer if they mind if I smoke a cigar if its just me sitting at the table by myself. If anyone plops down after I have already started smoking a cigar, well.. I was there first!

Aside from the usual answers of Casa Fuente and such, where does everyone like purchasing cigars from in Vegas? I use to always pick up a box at Don Pablo Cigar Company just a block or so away from Encore. They would make them there for you. From what I understand, it was sold a few years ago and the quality has gone downhill.

It's kind of you to ask the dealer and not inflict cigar smoke on other players who were already present. I might even join your table. A good cigar at a slight distance is preferable to a cigarette at any distance.

Well I agree but do not agree with the term cheap...

Cause there are inexpensive cigars that are very good...

Poor quality is a better term...
