I noticed that there are a lot of trails in the Anthem part of the valley. (This is the very southern part of Eastern, south of the St. Rose Pkwy.) I was just wondering if these are hiking trails. Are they popular? Are they safe? Is there somewhere to leave my car? Is it safe?

I park at Anthem Hills Park, totally safe. Trails have some lite foot and bike traffic. Its a good workout, the first part is straight uphill. Scenery is a little monotonous. I preferred Lone Mountain for a "close in" hike, but it's fenced off right now for a construction project. I also prefer the River Mountain Loop trail behind the Railroad Pass Hotel, it ends at the Hoover Dam.
